Seriously thinking of joining the fold.
Always liked the look of the 4 series. Been watching with interest all the Utube vids of the M4.
So time to begin the search I think ...........

Think I like the look of the Competition Spec, the added bhp. and the new additions such as LED lights, the new front seats etc.

Is there anything else I should know about model spec I should be looking for?
It's slightly confusing as there seem to be a lot of fairly new 2017 cars with delivery miles, but some seem to be old spec.
Was it just the 444bhp upgrade and LED lights and front seats that I need to check, or are there other obvious changes?

Love the Sakhir Orange, but can't quite convince myself on the poss white leather? wink

Any help appreciated........

All CP cars have 444bhp whether LCI or not same with the seats.

Easiest way to tell an LCI is the darkened front headlights and hex lights + rear LED lights as those were the major changes.

I have a Sakhir Orange M5, black leather and black 20" wheels, imho, it is a stunning looking colour combination.

I’ve got Opal white full leather in mine.

Go for it.

Edit: to add a few more points, since you asked...

  • LCI has different rear lights.
  • The front lights ‘may’ be the same on a pre-LCI car because standard LEDs could be spec’d before the update. It’s just that LED is now standard and there is the option of ICON LED.
  • Seats are exactly the same but badges are now black.
  • The 666M wheels now have the option of black, as well as the silver which all pre-LCI CPs have (unless they were ordered with 19s.)
There are a few other bits and pieces which aren’t to do with the LCI changes, just the newer MY, like If you don’t spec’ full leather you now get a slightly better plastic dashboard (but full leather is the way forward).

I've just picked one up in the last month, and I'd not hesitate to do it again. I made the plunge before the hippies ban anything fun in car driving and manufacturers can only build glorified, self driving milk floats.
