I see that a number of people have mentioned that this issue has been fixed, but for me this has been ongoing for over 2 months. BMW are fully aware and have now escalated this to Germany to review, although I am not sure of the urgency as I stated earlier this has been going on for quite some time now?

In summery I had a Deezer subscription for my BMW 430, this enabled me to also use the Deezer service at home - so my biggest gripe is that whilst I have no doubt that this is indeed being investigated in Germany, I am without Deezer/music online at home and on my iPhone, which is beyond frustrating.

Is anyone else still experiencing (new or existing) issues with connection or reconnection to the BMW Deezer service via connected drive , BMW informs me I am not the only one, but it certainly feels like it?
I am having an issue with the connected store and adding anything. I got my X5 3 weeks ago and I have been trying to add connected drive + since. I have tried in the car, on my mobile via the app and online and all the same.
I am getting the same that it has been escalated to Germany and are awaiting a response but got nothing back. It’s very frustrating and doesn’t seem like a priority at all.

Yep, I'm still having problems. I've now given up with BMW Connected Drive. I received the following on 16th April:
Many thanks for getting back in touch, I’m saddened to hear that you’ve been experiencing further issues with your BMW Online and RTTI subscriptions. I can completely understand your frustration and I’m sincerely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for you.

I’m afraid that in this moment in time we’re still currently experiencing technical difficulties with our RTTI service, these issues have now further spread to the BMW Online services and which is specifically effecting widgets. The issue is due to a bug in our system which is preventing many of our customers across Europe from using these services.

But please be assured that this is at the highest point of escalation and that our technical department alongside our ConnectedDrive team are actively looking into correcting this problem.

In the meantime, please clarify if you’ve been periodically doing the following instructions below.

Can I recommend performing a service update to “refresh” the ConnectedDrive compatibility of your car. This is done inside your car, using your iDrive controller.

• Press ‘Menu’ button
• Click on ‘ConnectedDrive’
• Click ‘Options’ button (next to your iDrive controller)
• Scroll & select ‘Update BMW services’ click to update

Failing this can you please ensure that the “traffic flow” is enabled. This can be done using your iDrive controller:

• From iDrive main menu select “Navigation” and press “Option” button located next to controller
• You’ll enter a new menu and by scrolling down you’ll see a “Receive Traffic Info” option activate it
• Next from the “Navigation” screen, select “Map views” and then select “Additional info”
• In additional info menu you’ll find an option for “Traffic Flow”

I’m sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused for you, I can completely understand your frustration and disappointment due to the loss of this service.

I can appreciate that this isn’t an ideal situation, but we can only ask for your continued patience whilst we work to resolve this matter. As I can assure you that our technical team and digital marketing team are aware of the issue and are working on a “fix”.

I hope this information is of use to you, but if there’s anything else I can help you with please get back in touch.

They have had this issue for months, it's obviously serious however they either don't have the technical ability to fix it or they don't care about the Connected drive service.

Most new cars have online services embedded but is worthless if the manufacturer doesn't have the ability to run and maintain the supporting infrastructure. My plan was to replace my wife's Evoque with a new X3 and my M5 with an i8, these are now off the shopping list.

Mine's now running fine and BMW came good in extending my online entertainment by 12 months FOC for the inconvenience.

Resurrecting this thread.

Looks like BMW have issues again. My car now says " Online entertainment not activated for this vehicle" ?

Has worked ok for the past 3 years and my subscription is valid until July 2021.

Spoke to a connected drive agent. They are having issues with this service....

Just in case other users are having problems.

I dont know how up to date this thread is so thought I'd add my ongoing saga.
Got BMW used approved 320d 2 weeks ago.
Connected drive and deezer seemed to set up fine at first. Had a few issues needing to re log in the first week with sporadic login fails.
Second week, car now states "online entertainment is not activated for this vehicle". BMW acknowledge that it is. They are citing Deezer issues which yes, last week they did have according to their own news feeds.
BMW seem to just state that it is an ongoing issue but won't give a timescale or otherwise. Really really infuriating. They state my car has been added to the "list of affected vehicles""
