Looks great! It’s a really good car, especially in sports mode! Did you use Auto Curators in Hook? Paul did our X3 too.

Yup, asked TRL to do minimal prep so i could pick the car up "dirty" and Autocurators did a fantastic job with the PPF and ceramic.
Really enjoying it so far, not even 300 miles in yet!

Really loving these cars. Those of you that have taken delivery seem to be enjoying them.

My next task is to persuade mrs orse that they are a perfect size. I was just wondering what the owners’ view is. We have an m4 which she is reluctant to drive and she wouldn’t drive the x6 we had so how do these compare and how do you find them in car parks and parking spaces? What are they like for visibility and ease of use and parking?

Thanks.

Parking's easy if you have the surround view cameras - in fact i think the surround view comes with some self parking functionality, not that i've tried that yet.
Definitely feels more wieldy and narrower on the road than my F11 535i, and feels much more agile and much less cumbersome than the F15 X5 (and thus i would extrapolate your X6).
Much more spacious inside than my F31 340i wagon too, and much more upmarket/luxurious.

Get a test drive. They're really good.

I'd reinforce the ease of parking, especially with the reversing camera. Mine's an older model and has the surround view, but I've only used it a couple of times.
The overall size is good, I tried a friends X5 and it was just a bit big for me - the size of the X3 is much easier to handle.

Try one - they really are a good choice these days.

My wife finds it fine and is happy parking it. It’s a bit longer than the previous gen that she had before but hardly different. She wouldn’t drive an X5 or similar size car but is fine with the X3.
I don’t find it big or awkward in car parks or general driving, it feels ‘car size’ to me. Definitely worth a test drive.

I've had mine a few months now and it has to be the best family vehicle I've ever owned. We had an x5 originally which imo was just too big for day to day driving. This on the other hand is a huge step up in fun , can carry a family of four in comfort with 4 large suitcases in the boot, and is seriously rapid !

I've got 3k miles on mine now - very happy, though the exhaust isn't as good as the 2018 models (mine's a MY2019, with the gasoline particulate filter).
Other than that, it's awesome.
Very comfy when required, very fast and fun when the opportunity arises. And much better than the 340iT it replaced in every respect.

On summer 20's:

On winter 19's:

I've got one of these new X3s as a loan car today, it's very impressive the handling and on road feel is excellent, it's just a 2.0d M sport on 19" but it's very sporty to throw into a corner, it feels very 4 sq on the road.

Impressed with these new G generation cars they really are a step on from the F series models and bodes well for the new G20 3 series.

Why would you when you can have the M40i?

Genuine question?

I have had loads of bigger engine cars in petrol and diesel guise and there is no real financial saving, maybe 2-3% at best, and all the petrols have felt so much more special.

I would be interested to hear what MPG the M40i owners are getting?

I had the 30d for a few days recently and that was struggling to get 26mpg average over the few days and 600 odd miles I did in it.

I'd look on Bimmerpost if you want more details and info, most people have left PH for the relative calm of the brand specific forums, there is a thread running there on a newly delivered M40d in the F30post UK section.

The BMW section here is like a ghost town these days.
