To be fair - I would happily have paid those prices recently - e39 M5 - but with AP Racing brakes on the front - getting on for £1,000 to replace disks / pads / fit / etc.Front pads and discs - £279

I’ve had them on previous cars (not BMWs) and just took them off my 530i touring as I’ve ‘uprated’ my braking set-up to Mtec grooved discs and EBC Yellowstuff pads; because I wanted to and it’s something I’ve always done, not because it was needed etc
The Delphi discs and pads were fine; zero issues and good overall braking really

Bugger, I knew I was a bit out, I do apologise; in 2016 someone posted on the Alpina Register forum that they had been quoted by Sytner for discs at £635 each, with a set of pads at £430... all plus VAT for a grand total £2040. (reminder - don't look at the amount I spent on petrol last year!!!)

It’s a necessity as the airbags fitted were dangerous & involved in a few deaths unfortunately.
