Maybe he can get on of these for the rear window in his new Hyundai.

Nothing wrong with Hyundai they. make some good cars and they back them with a 5 year warranty

Somethings too much emphasis put on German so-called good engineering

With the market upheaval coming with electric the Far East and Chinese manufacturers may well be market leaders in 10/15 years.

I don't have an issue with BMW recalling the cars early. Safety is of paramount importance, however I budget for my car as I need something of that standard for my job. To be given a replacement car that isnt of the same standard, whilst they are fixing their mistakes/errors with the vehicle I purchased from them, it just isnt fair.
My car is in the service centre now, if it needs to stay in for a few weeks and I get a Hyundai I'm taking legal action.
Yeah, ok.
Good luck with that one.

Here's a clue.
The dealer did not design, build or manufacture your car, BMW did, the dealer is only acting on what BMW tell them to do.
Oh, and there is not an unlimited supply of BMW courtesy/hire cars lying around just in case you 'must' have one.
I'm sure you will cope in your job in a Hyundai or whatever just as well as your BMW.
Millennial snowflake.
A needlessly uncharitable response. I'm sorry you're having a bad day.
He has a point though, what is Boothd8's job that he needs a BMW for it? Surely a Hyundai will do the job of getting him to whatever he is doing, and getting him back, annoying as I appreciate it must be.

What did you think of the 530e, I only had one for two weeks but did grow to like it performance wise I loved it.
Sadly I didn't get to drive it as our car didn't need the fix!
My wife loved it though.

Got something to say?
Need to get it off your chest?
PM me if it's personal.
Hope that's not too sociopathic for you.

Has anyone had any issues since they had their egr cooler replaced? Mine got replaced in April but now had the low coolant warning but no obvious signs of a leak so wondering if this new cooler could be faulty too.

Is the coolant level actually dropping?

If yes, it must be going somewhere.

If no, then I'd say you've got a dodgy coolant sensor.

I had my cooler replaced last year, just before the recall kicked off. Had to be replaced again this year, I'm hoping they've updated the design but wouldn't bet on it.

I’ve checked today whilst engine cold and topped up so will see in a few days if dropping.
Just a pain if it is the cooler again as last time it was 2 months before I got it back, and I wonder if they’ll replace foc!

Mine was replaced same day last month, don't think supply is an issue anymore.

Mine was replaced in April this year. Had a low coolant warning early this week. It was low so I've topped it up. Will see how it goes.

Apparently mine was due for an EGR recall but they didn’t bother writing to me

After topping up last Friday it’s came up again low coolant. Car doesn’t get used much either, probably 100 miles at most.
Will see what bmw say tomorrow. No doubt they’ll want a diagnostic fee! No obvious signs of any leak so must be going somewhere.
Getting fed up with water issues with this car. Had headlight with condensation in, sorted that problem, then water in rear passenger footwell, sorted that, now this! Sometimes wonder if I should try something else other than a Bmw.
