I believe BMW warranty comes with some form of road-side assist and rescue; is that correct?

If yes, how does it compare with AA or RAC?

I already have RAC membership with recovery. Should I cancel this and stick with BMW.

Yes and in my experience much better than competitors.
Example, I had an injector issues didn't see why i should risk a drive to a dealer.
Tech was called for home visit. He was going to be late. I said I had an urgent trip. Brand new 3 series hire car delivered within the hour.

Mine has BMW road assist, and both are cars have road assist through insurer (NFU Mutual). I phoned RAC to cancel, and they suggested continue as a member with £5 annual subscription and some minimal coverage for the other car.

Does the BMW assist include recovery to destination or home?

Is this a new car warranty, AUC warranty or Insured warranty? If the BMW Insured warranty, are you paying extra for the breakdown cover (it's about £15/month extra).

Which 'emergency service' package do you have with your warranty (full or essential)?

BMW INSURED EMERGENCY SERVICE ESSENTIAL
Key benefits:
  • Unlimited call outs anywhere in the UK or Republic of Ireland
  • Roadside fix or recovery to your nearest BMW Retailer
  • Cover includes breakdown at home
  • A fixed price of £69.00 for 12 months cover
  • Available for vehicles up to 10 years old with a mileage of less than 100,000 miles
BMW INSURED EMERGENCY SERVICE
Key benefits:
  • Assistance in the event of an emergency on the road, at home or elsewhere
  • Coverage anywhere in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Continental Europe
  • Extensive network of Emergency Service centres manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Experienced, multi-lingual staff
  • Can be purchased on its own or in conjunction with BMW Insured Warranty
The more detailed terms & conditions can be found in the policy handbooks linked in the titles above.

They both include recovery, but the area of cover differs.
