As you’ve only driven slow cars you wouldn’t know.
If I arrived at a clients in an old Lexus, I’d be embarrassed.
Now you are trolling - earlier in the thread - I listed some of the cars I've owned - all of which are faster than your current stead (bar maybe the Atom)If I arrived at a clients in an old Lexus, I’d be embarrassed.
Of course we might all be being loose with the truth.

I replied to the fantasist Lexus owner, stating that my opinion is that the Lexus LS is absolutely not a drivers car.
And you're asking if I'm another Lexus fan?
Trying to decide which is closer to being a drivers car in their class is like arguing which is the best steak replacement, tofu or quorn.
Just, no.
I’m yet to drive a better driving car in the 3 series class, and reading Autocars test of the new 320D this week, I’m not likely to anytime soon. And you're asking if I'm another Lexus fan?

I'm yet to drive a better vehicle in it's class than a Scania P94D.
Doesn't make it a 'driver's' vehicle though.
The BMW might be best in it's class, but not many people outside of this odd thread would call it a real 'driver's' car, nor place it in the same class a the Lexus barge in question.

Isn’t that Lexus an odd comparison to the 320d?
LexyLex from your posting it appears your car cannot even deliver 50% of the mpg - a weak performance given the 320d is a to b transport and high dconomy
I wouldn't care about the MPG - life is too short to drive a nasty diesel. LexyLex from your posting it appears your car cannot even deliver 50% of the mpg - a weak performance given the 320d is a to b transport and high dconomy

Ask away but I’ll be filming no such thing.
Because you made it up, and won't admit it. Yet.Seems you have previous for such behaviour though.
Hey why don’t you post up a pic of that Elise Erving into the red. Come on do it now and your insurance documents plus V5 else your garage or any car you claim to have driven or owned is utter fantasy.
Why not post up a film and shout out hey this is for you welshbeef PH then it’s more likely genuine but again might not be your car.

Odd someone asks for a video and keeps asking for it when none was suggested or stated would be forthcoming of my car. Maybe you should read and not up tosh.

I drive a 370Z and an RS3. I'd like an Elise, I'm considering a K20'd one as a next car, but I've never owned one.
So what does your BMW rev to?

We could debate all day about what makes a “real driver’s car”, but that isn’t, and hasn’t been my point.I'm yet to drive a better vehicle in it's class than a Scania P94D.

My point was simply that the 3 series has normally been the best driving car in its class throughout the multiple generations, and the latest model by some margin.
I don’t own one, nor am I in any rush to buy one, but Autocars road test of the new 320D makes for very impressive reading.

Neither am I, but that is exactly the point. My point was simply that the 3 series has normally been the best driving car in its class throughout the multiple generations, and the latest model by some margin.

It seems to offend some on here strangely?

And there you have it - the car this thread is about target market DO care about that. It’s good so you wouldn’t be interested in it plenty of others to go
They'll also not do anywhere near their quoted figures and a hybrid model, given the regulatory climate regarding air quality would make a 320d an unwise choice.A hybrid is where the smart money goes.

That R33 sounds a bit quick. Where did you get it up to 185+?
There is ionly one answer to give on the internet - Germany - naturally . Not the A9 near Dalwhinnie It was honestly bonkers and wonderfully raw to drive - it felt alive if that makes sense. The way it gathered speed above 100mph - honestly nothing I've had since comes close.
I sunk thousands into getting to 700bhp mind you
The R35 intrigues me - and there are some out there with 1200bhp. I like Skylines

A friend of mine is right into his Skylines, hes got a few, but his first was a 700bhp+ R33 GTS-25T, so 2WD. Was pretty mental.
Mine was 4wd. That thing would be mental with that. I don't think I'd be alive with the 2wd one. Is he into drifting? The 4wd system in them was so ahead of it's time. Still is in many ways. As a drivers car they're hard to beat.
