Afternoon all,

I 'think' I need new injectors and I am seeking some advice. I have a 2007, E92/ N53 (330i Coupe) with just over 70k miles. It runs fine most the time, except it can be a bit juddery when cold for the first minute or so. Sometimes it throws an EML. I am assuming this is the injectors...... I am taking my car to a specialist soon, but it is a ferry journey away and time off work to get it there, so want to investigate in advance.

What injectors do people recommend? I want to buy new, but prices seem to vary wildly (£70 (amazon) - £343 (eurocarparts) each). There seem to be some non-OEM injectors 'reasonably' priced. There is conflicting advice about whether the non-OEM are worthwhile. Some sites claim the non-OEM are in fact OEM injectors.

Any specific recommendations/ experiences?

TIA

Mike

Google is your best bet and much better info on e90post.

But basically you probably need a set of index 11 injectors. Get a price off e90post Cotswold. They are approx 190gbp each.

New coils and plugs probably wouldn't hurt.

That's all just a guess though could just need coil packs or could be something unrelated.

There are no aftermarket injectors for this engine.

Had new coils about 12 months ago. I will check out your recommendations.

Thanks

Sorry had to write my earlier reply quickly

I would get injectors from BMW only because you get 2 year warranty on them.
Get your codes read, that will reveal more. If you currently have index 11 you only need to replace defective injectors.

Oh and check out bimmerprofs website they are really helpful too. They even do online remote diagnostics.

fk me, £1400 plus fitting and coding for a set of injectors. Remind me not to buy one of these, ever.

Ouch. eek

I didn't realise they were that expensive!

Even more glad I only looked at 330is with the N52 when I bought mine.

If you go cheap, you'll be buying twice.

Join e90 post dot com

They have a thread for discounts at Cotswold BMW.

Buy from there, priced pretty well, and you won't get any issues.

Your indy may find it's something less expensive, and you may get away with replacing a couple or three, I have read they go in a bank of two or three, maybe mistaken on that though.

Spot on. They are cheaper than derv injectors anyway.

OP needs to start with the codes. Find out what is actually wrong. If he has index 11 already he can replace individually. Hardest thing with this engine is finding someone who knows what the fk they are doing and talking about which rules out most BMW dealers until they plug it into Germany.
