This car in touring form is right at the top of my list for one day.
Touring in blue with tan leather please
Bmw approved actually have these down as low as £44k already. Will be into the 30’s without too much trouble soon surely.

Hot off the press:
M340i Touring is 5k down and just under 500/month for a 4y PCP
Discount in new price is approx 9k if you take finance
Quite a big discount for a brand new release
Hopefully will sag a bit more after Christmas, fingers crossed
£9k off the £50k list equates to a discount of around 18% which, as you say, is quite large for a new model. I was thinking it would be at least 12 months before we saw discounts of 20% plus but if we're at 18% already perhaps they'll arrive sooner than I was expecting.....M340i Touring is 5k down and just under 500/month for a 4y PCP

Finally a UK review!! Look forward to watching that although Joe can go on a bit.
Without being able to watch it at work, how long in before we are informed he is 6ft 4 and the car is an absolute weapon. I just hope the exhausts aren't fake or that would be a hat trick. He comes across as a really nice bloke and genuinely into his cars but as mentioned before, his current videos seem to be a long list of great things followed by a couple of minor negatives so you do get the feeling he isn't as objective. To be fair, he doesn't hide his affiliations either.

Wonder what would be better, M340i touring or X3 M40i?
Just my personal view but, excellent engine though the B58 undoubtedly is, I'm not sure it's best suited to something like an X3. I always think a large diesel with lots of low-down torque is better suited to an SUV and if I was looking at an X3 I think I'd actually go 40d rather than 40i.Given I'm not a great fan of SUV's anyway my answer to your question would without doubt be an M340i Touring; however, I know some people don't like estates and would choose the SUV, each to their own!
Does anyone have any suggestions for PCP / lease options on a touring? I’ve previously purchased outright, but will be looking down the PCP / lease route this time.
I’m pretty much sold on the M340i, but wonder if there will be an M340d that could be an alternative due to 15k+ miles a year. Has anyone heard any whispers about whether this will be coming?

Look at TRL deals on Baby BMW for the most competitive PCP offers, then see if you can get a local dealer to match.
Coast2Coast is also a good way to access discounts, but they are normally some way behind what TRL will quote.
Many thanks for this - exactly what I was looking for. Coast2Coast is also a good way to access discounts, but they are normally some way behind what TRL will quote.

There almost certainly won't be an M340d, think the only expected addition to the line up is the M3I’m pretty much sold on the M340i, but wonder if there will be an M340d that could be an alternative due to 15k+ miles a year. Has anyone heard any whispers about whether this will be coming?

The tyres are a backward step, and having to go and spunk £800 on some new ones on a car that costs the thick end of £50k is crap.

I watched it last night and had a chuckle to myself. The first thing I did years ago when I bought my E90 325i was to ditch the tyres and fit better rubber. It seems nothing has changed and BMW still stick crappy rubber on otherwise great performance cars. The tyres are a backward step, and having to go and spunk £800 on some new ones on a car that costs the thick end of £50k is crap.
