Yes, stelvio this and SVR that, IMO this is the better looking of those both, and I think they all have the same ZF 8 speed but BMW always seem to get it right compared to the other. Better infotainment too and the most reliable of them all, no doubt. Engine is lethal apparently, looking forward to the next M3.

are these cheap PCP deals just on 8000 miles a year?

Cause the mini countryman JCW on 15,000 PCP is the other side of £500 pm (albeit with most options ticked)

I went to have a look yesterday but I do think I'm drawn only by the price rather than the need for another car. I've already got an M4 Comp that rarely sees the road, and I don't think I'd end up using an X3M much.

It's just so damned tempting at the price though and there's room for it...

Might have a test drive when I take the M4 for its service in a week or 2.

The price is stonking, it’s turned my head an I’ve already ordered a 420i GC for March delivery, not sure if I could change my order to one of these smile

Apparently most of these available have options on them which would bump up the price and some are reporting ownership needs to be by end of year and others saying March.

Seems to be 8k atm, havent asked for different annum miles, however penalty fee for miles over is something like 28ppm :x

2.9% is a Q4 deal so may well go up Jan. Overmileage is 23.16 p but that may well be + vat. Mileage doesn't really matter unless you plan to give back after 48 months. Any part ex will take into account mileage.

The 40i and 40d costs around £10 per month per 1000 miles but I suspect the M would be higher as they tend to be more mileage sensitive.

Yes. But it’s no SVR or stelvio Quadrafoglio is it..... ?

It makes a lot more sense with £20k dealer deposit obvs.....
Which is the whole point of the thread.....I wouldn't choose the Stelvio over the X3M anyway not unless it was way cheaper to lease.

Come to think of it in what way does the SVR (F pace I presume) and the Stelvio do anything materially better than the M car (not counting breaking down of course) I'm guessing you've driven all 3 given your statements so far....

So ‘cheap’ but so many options.

Given it’s mentioned a few times, I’m assuming leccy seats are an option and not even standard on a high list price M car any more?

I can see a glut of low-spec X3Ms in a few years time.

Older idrive 6 as well, which many people have said has looked dated next to the i7.

Electric seats are standard on the configurator, but that has been recently updated as the price for some options on my order (40D) has increased and some additional kit available (M Seats!) Basic stuff like Wireless Charging, cost option as well.

Looks like I’ll be sticking with my 420i GC order having had a quote back from Sandal Bmw ( someone on another thread mentioned the potential for March delivery through them).

Unfortunately no base spec cars left and confirmation was delivery for the end of the year.

I don’t mind handing my current S90 back a few months early but 6 months doesn’t make sense, so factoring that and the lack of base spec cars the decision has been made for me frown

Exactly! I saw one at Dick Lovett yesterday and had a sit in it - it’s a grotesque thing.
