Black grill fitted today. Those two last clips are a bugger but, as the other poster said, having someone gently pull the grill away from the car whilst the tabs on the clips are being pressed really helps. A small torch pointing down to make sure you pick up the correct tab (i.e. not the tab for the bumper!) is a good idea. Looks great on CB and no breakages. I reckon next time round would take no longer than about 10 min when I replace with the chrome grill in a few years time.

It’s the light - very reflective. All one piece.

Hmm, have we seen a dark grille on a Dravit yet..? Can't recall.

Those do look good on the CB cars - not something I thought I'd be saying..!

So only issue I have is the replace battery warning.

Did those who had this problem reset iDrive or disconnect battery for a few mins and reconnect?
I had it. You may need new battery and delaership visit I am afraid. Disconnecting for few mins didnt work for me....

Anyone have an update ?

Agreed, be good to know rough timeframes and installments/amounts taken after delivery. I don't always keep loads in my current account so will have to make sure I've got the dosh in the right place for when they want it.

Also found that my insurance quote's crept up the closer I've gotten to delivery which is irritating. £553 now but I'm going to add things like keycare and courtesy car which nudge it up to £600 for the year. Still a chunky excess too @ £700.

Brief update on the turning rubbing/shuddering issue.

Had it looked at by a dealer I trust, I know the service technician personally so travelled a little further out to be sure.

Rear differential confirmed source of the problem, bmw advised oil change which initially did nothing. Then changed the electrical motor which assists the speed of the diff, or something to the sort. Has fixed the 95% of the issue. Keeping and eye on the 5% to see if it worsens again... barely bothers me anymore. But when it’s noticeable on occasion my OCD tries to feel it out but it’s normally gone.

Was given a poverty spec 520d for a week whilst they fixed it. Was so happy to get it back, makes me realise I might miss the car a little bit come March 2022...

Delighted you’ve now got yours Simon and thanks once more for the tip-off.

Your car looks terrific. Out of interest, what sort of cost does Miglior charge for that kind of treatment?

For me:

Delivery - 24th June
Email arrived from Leasys - 2nd July (no mention of VED payment...)
First payment due to be taken - 12th July.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, useful to understand.
I've only had PCPs in the past so its always been the norm to pay any final deposit prior to taking delivery of vehicle.... I like the way leases seem to work !!

For anyone still looking for insurance looks like Esure / sheilas wheels are top in the comparison site search currently with only a £400 access.

How is everyone getting on with figuring out iDrive?

Always had Audi's so at the moment i am completely lost although I havent sat and played with it all properly yet. Main thing I am trying to figure out is how to activate the fold in mirrors.

Was thinking about everyone sharing tips, tricks, things they found out, FAQ's etc about these cars - anyone uncovered or learned anything they think will be handy to others?

Thanks, yes that's very helpful. Sounds like Leasys are a bit more communicative than my current lease co. Sounds like mine'll be very similar to yours as it arrives on the 24th so I'll expect payments etc to start going out mid-Aug which is fine.
