840i M Sport Lease Deal

That, to me, reads as the oil is due in another 9,998 miles, not AT 9,998 miles. So if you've done about 8k it's due at 18k.
Should probably top it off as it's asking though!
Edit: I've done 5,100 miles and mine's saying 'Due in 13,000 miles' - so at 18k (or March '22 if that comes up first).

Why has my service become due at 8500 miles? It is true that I do more short journeys and less motorways miles but surely that’s still excessive to do it at 8500 miles as opposed to 15k?
Are you misreading it? Add 8500 to your existing mileage - does that total somewhere in the region of 18k?Funk said:

Hi,
Interesting thread, and finance aspects aside, relevant as I had an 840i Msport GC delivered a few weeks ago.
Brilliant car to drive and the interior is a very pleasant place to be.
Congrats on the car! You’re going to love it.Interesting thread, and finance aspects aside, relevant as I had an 840i Msport GC delivered a few weeks ago.

Spec? Any pics? We like to share delivery pics
To those of you with services apparently due at half the expected mileage, are you driving the tits off them? I'd imagine that on something like the 8-series it probably monitors the condition of the oil and if it thinks it needs servicing sooner it will say so.
I've been enjoying the full 'wafting' experience in mine, my average mpg since 1st Jan is 30mpg which I think is pretty remarkable for such a large car. I've had 43mpg on longer runs and no doubt if I put my mind to it I could probably push this up nearer to 50. Boring but impressive!

My averages over 9500 miles is 28.2 - not great but like you say on a long trip it does improve depending on how you drive so 35mpg in my case which is fine .... my service due is now telling me 9000 ore miles or March 2022 which must have been near it’s reg date but due to COVID-19 didn’t take delivery until July so that’s a bummer means service will be a few months early

Nice to see another cognac leather interior!
I'm trying not to look - I still have envy of yours!Speaking of interiors, is anyone else seeing wear on the lower part of the (bloody) B-pillar trim? I have my seat quite a way back so this edge is constantly getting wear on it as I get in and out of the car:
This pic shows how much it sticks out relative to the seat position:
