840i M Sport Lease Deal

Just popped in to dealer to drive a gran coupe. 640i is surprisingly quick and sounds good in sports mode. Impressive car. They knew about these deals along with the stratstone deal and are willing to "do a deal" to beat any quote. Seems like it may be worthwhile having a word with your dealer as BMW are heavily subsidising the 8!
I remember a similar situation on the X5 last November and the dealer was giving a better deal by throwing in extra packs! Ive asked for a car with the M Sport and tech pack thrown in and they are currently "thinking about it" will let you know if they agree!
Remember these deals are subsidised by BMW so the dealer still has margin to do better!

Mrs is 13 months in to her A6 S Line lease but wants an X5 next. Lease deals are never any good on them but I've never done a PCP before. Seems more agro than a lease.
This is putting aside the fact it's a few hundred quid more a month for an X5!

Lads,
I have worked it out at having to pay £465 in tax in the second year, if the above is correct.
I have sent them the Gov UK tax rate page and the change from 164 to 191 g/km under the new cycle.
If they come back again saying yes you owe £465 for the second year, going to a local dealer to match the deal, plus get them to pay for the tax. I will keep you all posted.
Hopefully G2L and Select can come back with the Grand Coupe deals next week, but i think they are both dead deals now.
This was the same when I leased a Merc. I was surprised when I receieved the V5 document. I was onlt 12 months later when I received the road tax demand that I realised why. I always read the small print now!I have worked it out at having to pay £465 in tax in the second year, if the above is correct.

Lads,
Put refundable deposit down on the Stratstone deal.
Looking through my contract, i noticed something strange, other items RFL - Petrol - 12 months (inc. 1st reg fee)
So i asked Stratstone to make sure i was paying no tax at all, and they were covering the whole term and not just the first year.
They have emailed back stating only the first year is included and where is my information about the rate increasing.

I’m going to speculate and suggest that the 39 who got onto the G2L will be absolutely fine. I’m one of them - who got my request in on 6th Jan - so hoping thats going to be the case. Everything seems to be panning out ok in terms of paperwork, contracts, finance agreements. All that said, until the cars on my driveway, I’ll still be harbouring some doubts at the back of my mind, Put refundable deposit down on the Stratstone deal.

On page 35, Don Phil said this
"Received my quote on 16th, accepted it and completed credit application in the evening, it was accepted on 17th and have confirmation G2L will be ordering the car from a named dealer." His first contact was via email on the 12th
Then I really don’t understand - that really equates to first contact on 13th as 12th was a Sunday and, as I understood it, the systems have not had the right info loaded onto them for the entirety of the past week?"Received my quote on 16th, accepted it and completed credit application in the evening, it was accepted on 17th and have confirmation G2L will be ordering the car from a named dealer." ETA - there have been some cars with other brokers about at much higher prices (ContractCars were doing them at £424 a month) - perhaps this is one of those?

Hi all
My first post and what a post! James from G2L sorted me out in literally no time (good lad!) . My credit got approved and car almost ordered. Went chaos with orange and Cognac leather. Deal is 3+23 , 8k , 403 inc VAT - bang on 15% (10,5k total cost) so blooody hell , one of those Holy Grail deals!
Named dealer is Williams. Hopefully I'll get confirmation the order is in next week. It's a factory order. Not sure why I'd be an exception in getting through a quote after the initial batch. Most went to my junk mail as someone else has said.My first post and what a post! James from G2L sorted me out in literally no time (good lad!) . My credit got approved and car almost ordered. I really liked it in the flesh. Nice low driving position and good steering wheel reach adjustment which is usually the sticking point for me.
Also sat in an M8 Competition optioned up to £150k but the base 840i feels every bit as nice IMO. Happy with my choice of Dravit Grey too.
The dealer in question couldn’t get close to any of the deals discussed on here.

This is pretty in depth, albeit for the GC: https://youtu.be/2WgY2pC-bxc
Fantastic. Thanks. I had another poke around one today too, I think the salesman thought I was a dreamer and didn't really give me a second look. Thought it would be a bit cheeky asking for a drive of their demo when I'd already committed to a lease. Trying not to get too excited about the prospect until the finance and order is confirmed by G2L...
I have had little luck with G2L getting back to me so I challenged the local dealer to match the deals online and the best they could do was:
£4k down, £399 pm x 35
But this was for the based 840i 2 door coupe. Took it for a test drive and loved it. Even the size was not bothering me at all and the engine is great. But.... as has been mentioned on here before the back is terrible. I know it is not targeted as a family load lugger but the seats are practically unusable.
I pushed the dealer to match the deal on the GC as it is a different proposition altogether in the back...no luck, as they wanted another £100 pm for the GC!!! Looks like I am out.
