Took it out on Sunday for a 7am spirited run around the roads I used to regularly ride my bikes; A31, 32 and 272. I’m seriously surprised by how well it shifts and handles, especially as it never did particularly well in the press. Sure it’s not a 2 seater sports car, but power is more than enough for the road and it happily dispatches corners with relative driving pleasure.

Yep, the over run in sport plus is quite ridiculous, not something you want in a residential area, but awesome out in the sticks.

Very happy!

I live in a quiet cul de sac in south bucks. Full of Granny's that haven't sold their Bungalows to ' Thirty somethings ' wanting to build three storey mansions. So just when they thought it was safe with the TVR being SORN.

They will have to put up with my 5am starts into London with the BMW hehe

Bit of a thread bump, but after starting this thread back in June.....

I had to compromise a bit in spec, but ultimately as prices started to climb and I got fed up of waiting, I think I got the balance right. Really happy so far!

These Granny’s (sic) do not want to lower the tone and sell their Bungalows (sic) to those with poor grammar (or should that be ‘Grandma‘). hehe bloody hehe

The joys of a B58 motor in a body that to most folks is just another BMW estate; the understated look of these is one of the main reasons I got one; enjoy !

Here she is... picking it up at the end of the month..
2 year thread revival...

Quite by chance I was looking at these 340i as a candidate for my next motor, and found this exact car now for sale.

I wonder what the owner experienced over those miles? Will he emerge to share the experience?

I was looking at that one yesterday - wish it had been available last year when I bought my 340i saloon, especially now we have 2 on the way laugh

Also has MPPSK from the looks of it, which isn't in the ad and is worth a good £1500 or so. Just missing digital cockpit and the m performance body kit to be my perfect car. I'm making do with the saloon (with non folding seats.... furious) and loving every minute. The tow bar on that one is a nice addition too.

The Digital Cockpit is pretty overrated. I'd prioritise HUD over digital cockpit (which you can't get together from the factory).

I've had my 340i Touring for 3 years now and it's still amazing. I've since added the Birds B3-40i pack to it, so more power, Bilsteins and LSD. It's a monster, but still a great family car for two kids.

I have both in my saloon… definitely agree to prioritise HUD though, absolute game changer.
