I’m a big e39 fan, had a 530i sport for ten years. I think they are appreciating, just not to that level. Cars with low miles seem to be double the price but I don’t see that it will necessarily be a better car than one that has been run and looked after.

If you intend to put it in your garage for 10 years and see if it’s appreciated then the mileage won’t matter. If you intend to daily it, then an f10 would be far better. I got 22mpg from the e39 and 27 from my f10. Both 3 litre sixes.

And like others, I couldn’t get past the head unit, dials or leather ... but that’s just personal choice.

Lovely car; but the grey interior puts a lot of folks off
Really? I think that's the nicest interior colour for all BMWs of this era.

I agree, a large selling point for me.

At least twice the price it should be, in my opinion. I’ve owned a few e39 saloons and routings, brilliant cars, but not £10k.

Not a BM but this is the definition nof over priced. Plus it isn't a typo as he refers to the price in the body of the advert!

I wonder what the seller had been taking moments before posting that advert?
I'm honestly struggling to refrain myself from ringing up and finding out.
£35k! Were they that much new???!

Definitely a misprint.

The price in the body of the advert, gets inserted automatically after you’ve typed the first entry.

Anyone fancy ringing up and seeing if he is willing to take £34,000??
Imagine the sellers face...
It'll either be, "erm yes come right over!"
Or "do you need meds I only want £3,450!!"

Love blue paint with a light grey leather interior! cool

One of the major factors in me buying my previous E36 328i Sport, and my current E46 330ci was the blue paint/grey leather (Montreal blue on the E36/Topaz blue on the E46)

E39; an old 5 Series that was replaced by a better one.

Ten grand? Go away. laugh

Sorry but I'm very cynical with all this 'classic' bullsh*t.
