A couple of queries:

• Those of you with 128ti’s - do your cars sound crap? I thought that mine would at least have a bit of a growl when I start it up in Sports mode - but I don’t. Maybe it’s because of the soft limiters(?). I remember seeing some YouTube videos of the 128ti and they sounded amazing
• Also, does anybody know how to turn the radio traffic updates off? 🤣 It can be so irritating!
• Has anyone with HK audio experienced any issues? Yesterday I noticed that the sound would drop out intermittently for the first time. It’s been happening since. The songs randomly mute for a split second which is a nightmare

Can answer one of them questions. The traffic updates was doing my head in too. Found it in radio settings and theres a button next to volume knob that turns it on and off.

Im sure the exhaust sound will improve with more miles on the clock.

● Yes, haven't really gave it the beans but when I did that fake noise was so stupid. No pops/bangs other than hot start up in sports mode. I do remember my Cupra sounding better when I put miles on it.

● Button above mode key turns TA off

● Can't advise on H&K I have the standard one and it's p*sh

Just finished a 180 mile trip down the M6 to that London area. A quite astonishing 53mpg from a car with less than 300 miles on the clock. Admittedly I sat at 65mph or slower through the roadworks but even so that’s pretty impressive.

Given the power on tap thst's good.

However my M135i with N55 engine and manual box gets into the 40s on a good run at sensible speeds. Not bad for a 3.0 6 cylinder.

Had similar type of things happening and gone back to using the idrive Spotify app and removed Spotify from the CarPlay list (in settings-general-CarPlay-pick car-customise) and no issues yet but it’s early days. Actually prefer the idrive Spotify slightly as well.

So, assuming you want to use CarPlay Spotify the most obvious thing is to make sure you aren’t also logged in the idrive Spotify account, if you are logout of it (use option button).
Other things to try I noted if I go back to CarPlay Spotify are, I’d try them in this order;
Remove bmwxxxxx from Spotify devices menu and use ‘listen on this iPhone’.

Use only WiFi and CarPlay, unlink car from Bluetooth connection.

Untick ‘apps’ against iPhone in the mobile devices in idrive.

Disable enhanced integration in CarPlay in iPhone settings?

I’m assuming the ones ordered at end of March and Lynn has said have arrived in the U.K. as the standard colour with no options?

Just trying to think why some have arrived quicker than others that had been processed earlier! Don’t get me wrong a couple of weeks difference would be ok but 8 plus weeks difference just doesn’t add up to me…
Mine is with the Pro Pack and lumbar support. Just logged into the AC portal myself and the reg number is there

Ok then that’s cool about your reg showing

I’m guessing then the delay on mine will be down to the tech pack, as I have both tech and pro packs, so makes sense.

Funny you should mention that I got some response today

"The parts department are speaking to BMW directly to source & clarify the correct part numbers to be ordered as they are not available to order on the system at the moment.

As soon as we have any further information we will be in touch ASAP. Thanks"

Just had mine delivered as he rang from the transporter to ask if he could drop it off tonight rather than in the morning and he could get back to Glasgow early.

I am not sure I have ended up with the performance tyres on the car, the ones that are on it are Bridgestone not the Pirelli, what do other people have?

I opted for performance tyres and have Pirelli P-Zeros. I was hoping for Michelin PS4s but I am not a good enough driver for it to make any difference.

That's what I thought the Bridgestone's were standard non-performance ones. I'll get back to him in the morning...he mentioned the Pirelli ones to me that it should have those.

At least they got the GB plate right and the boot liner smile

Also after a short drive along the sea front I noticed when I got back a rubber burning smell coming through the vents, opened the bonnet and it was strong. Will see if it is just new engine smell or something burning off.

No worries, let us know how it goes and what seemed to do the trick (if you sort it!).

The Bridgestone's are fine . They just need warming up a little , mine have done 7k with no problems .

ETA : I reduced the tyre pressures to R 33psi & F 35psi . smile
