I have had 2 of my lease cars driven delivery so AC using a transporter is a lot better than being driven trust me.

Thing with leasing is if you want the deals you get them from anywhere over the U.K…

If you want the brand new car feel and service I would suggest getting one from a local dealer where you can collect.

Sounds harsh but that’s the reality of leasing sometimes
Yes agreed, of the previous 3 leases 2 have been driven to me and 1 I was picking up from a localish Seat main dealer.
Just give it a wash and it should be gleaming!

PS spot the Mineral grey M135i over the road! Common as muck!

For those who’ve got their 128ti, any thoughts on the general ride quality?

I’m probably in the minority (+ being an old git) but I’m on the 18s and I think it’s pretty shocking!
Good over potholes etc. well damped, but the rest of the time: fidget fidget fidget ffs!

Oh well only 3 years to go wishing I’d gone for the M135 with the adaptive damping.

Everything else about the car (other than slotting my iPhone Pro Max into the wireless charger) brilliant!
Might be worth getting it up on a ramp and checking the transit blocks have been removed. Wouldn’t be the first time they’ve not been removed at PDI.
Thanks, I’ll look into this.
The plot thickens however as I ordered the ‘performance tyres option’ expecting Pilot Sport 4s to be fitted instead of Bridgestones and I only paid attention to the fact that they weren’t Bridgestones fitted, however it turns out that my car is fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres, I would be interested to know if this has happened to anyone else?
They are a performance tyre, you aren’t guaranteed to get anything in particular. The PZero seems to be the performance tyre they come with of late.

Regarding ride I assume you have checked the tyre pressures?
(On my M135i on 19’s they were 40psi plus, reduced them to more like 35/33psi. Also coming from a Leon Cupra on 19’s but having adaptive I find the M135i easily as good but probably better ride wise).

Sounds like i dodged a bullet when I decided not to order with AC. Many stories of poorly presented vehicles, incorrect spec, ongoing delays, orders not processed properly, delivery issues etc on this thread. Was and still is a good deal but when you weigh it up it's not as good as it first seemed.
I’d order again if the price was right.
Cars have been driven to be delivered to me before, so in the same condition (probably worse with fly splat) as the one that was trailered to me. No problem.
Spec issue (red details?), was it an AC issue, HF issue or a factory issue? Not sure if that has been established yet.
Are delays down to AC or the factory? If the order is with the factory then surely that’s out of AC’s hands.
Delivery issues, not seen anything on that?

Basically if your car gets written off or stolen then your car insurance will only cover the actual car, but not your contracted payments to the lease company. If you take gap insurance then that will cover the cost of the lease, and the downpayment. For the sake of around £150 to cover the whole 2 or 3 year lease it’s got to be worth the peace of mind IMO.
Question has been asked on PH a few times and the consensus has been with people who have had a lease written off nobody (IIRC) had needed the GAP cover, the insurance company agreed the value with the lease owner and obviously the lease was ended at that point.
I’ve had it a couple of times in 2015 and 2016 but not on my last Cupra or this M135i.
You can get GAP cover though to cover any initial payment. Eg I’ve paid 3 months up front so that £1k would be refunded if it was written off but I’ve decided to not bother.

But if you got a replacement car… surely continuing your payments wouldn’t be an issue?

Only real advantage of gap insurance is that if your car gets written off you can walk away from your agreement from what I understand
There is specific GAP for lease, I don’t think replacement car would be suitable as the lease owner would probably terminate the deal once your insurance company has paid them out.
The replacement car could take a number of months to turn up after all.

I’ve not read the manual yet but is there a way to show the journey average fuel consumption in the main dashboard display?
On the screen to the left, I've set fuel consumption screen to one of the pre set memory shortcut keys for the screen on the left. You have he option of:

Since start of journey
Since refuel
Since leaving factory
Since manual reset

Behind the steering wheel on the display when in eco mode, the MPG is on a slider on the top right. It shows you the average and needle shows current.
I think it’s the button on the end of the left stalk but you can display current mpg and average mpg (depending on what you’ve selected in the journey data on the idrive - since journey start, since refuel etc) on the right hand Rev counter area.

A couple of queries:
• Has anyone with HK audio experienced any issues? Yesterday I noticed that the sound would drop out intermittently for the first time. It’s been happening since. The songs randomly mute for a split second which is a nightmare

Spotify on Apple CarPlay
Had similar type of things happening and gone back to using the idrive Spotify app and removed Spotify from the CarPlay list (in settings-general-CarPlay-pick car-customise) and no issues yet but it’s early days. Actually prefer the idrive Spotify slightly as well.

So, assuming you want to use CarPlay Spotify the most obvious thing is to make sure you aren’t also logged in the idrive Spotify account, if you are logout of it (use option button).
Other things to try I noted if I go back to CarPlay Spotify are, I’d try them in this order;
Remove bmwxxxxx from Spotify devices menu and use ‘listen on this iPhone’.

Use only WiFi and CarPlay, unlink car from Bluetooth connection.

Untick ‘apps’ against iPhone in the mobile devices in idrive.

Disable enhanced integration in CarPlay in iPhone settings?

Legend. Thank you. I’ll do this tomorrow. Really appreciate the reply mate.
No worries, let us know how it goes and what seemed to do the trick (if you sort it!).

On the subject of tyres (M135i) I’ve just literally ordered 4x19” PZero’s (star rated) to replace the Bridgestones at just over 10k miles done.
The fronts in the centre are down to the wear marker pretty much even though I’ve had 35/36PSI in them from delivery (had 40-odd PSI on delivery!), a standard trait of the Bridgestones it seems (ref Babybmw forum).
Rears are ok but I’ll sell them on eBay or such like, at least this way and going off reports the PZero’s will last until the car is handed back in 2 years (12-14k more miles) rather than the BS needing replacing again and likely the rears at the same time.

The PZero’s are apparently a step up from the BS so we’ll see in a few days…….

The 135i has a different suspension setup, the PZero's may well be a good fit, yes the Bridgestones do get slated, there can be no smoke without fire!
Yep, I’ve read good things about the M135i BS to PZero swap on the Babybmw forum, I hope it stacks up!

Anyone know how the heated mirrors work? The manual just says they come in automatically but mine appear to be rubbish! In my previous cars they either had a button or came on with the heated rear screen.
Mine just come on as stated, the mirrors clear anyway but not instantly.

I've had my M135xi via Arnold Clark since last August and on the BMW phone app under "Service and Maintenance" it used to show my inclusive package. WIthin the last few weeks I receive the following message when I select it:

"We're sorrry, we are unable to display this information and apologie for the inconvience. Please try again or contact your selcted Service Partner"

I understand what it says but what does this mean for my Service Inclusive Package? Do I know longer have it?

Any ideas?
Mine is quoted in the mybmw app.

Click on check status, pick services and it’s listed at the bottom.

Looks like a call to Arnold Clark is in order to confirm something hasn’t gone awry and the service pack is still there! I’m sure it’ll just be a system glitch somewhere.

Good luck.

FYI, from the main leasing thread (not my post);

For anyone with a PCH from Arnold Clark, they've now confirmed they will extend if you place an order with anyone from the group.

Previously they were saying it was only if you ordered another PCH, but now they're saying they'll also extend if you place an order for a new car through them. My parents A Class is due to go back next month, so they're going to place a new car order as second hand prices are almost as much has new. Worst case they take the new car when it arrives, best case things improve and they can take out another PCH or nearly new instead.

Interested to hear whether anyone has spoken at AC at all about returning their car early? I’m 15 months into a 36 month deal and fallen out of love with the car, so looking to replace it. Know a few friends that have had their dealers contact them to come out of their PCH early as they need stock, but not sure whether AC would do this
The downsides of PCH vs PCP. You’ll get a hefty charge to come out of a PCH.
You may get a hefty charge, our Fiesta ST was given back 3 months early with no charge.
Of course a PCP could also hit you if you leave it early (cost me a couple of £K to terminate my M2 PCP early for example).

Hello everyone. This may be a long shot but if anyone has one of these lease deals that they are looking to get out of, I'd be interested in taking over one if possible. Open to either 128ti or M135i, mileage anything 6-10k and not fussed about inclusive servicing.

In other words, I'll consider anything.

Thanks ??
I have a 22 plate m135i in Misano Blue. Pro pack. Servicing included. It’s immaculate having only done 1200 miles since April. I’m simply not using the car as often as I thought due to change of job.

It’s not the cheapest at £350. And it’s got another 3 years to go on the lease, but if you’re interested let me know.

Edit. Ah sorry, you wanted 6k. Mine is only 5k. Apologies ??

Edited by phil2879 on Friday 20th January 21:05
The mileage is probably less of an issue if you’ve only done 1200 miles in 9 months and he is ok with 6k.
Servicing being already paid for would offset all/some of the extra mileage he needs cost wise if he was to pay for being over mileage at hand back.

I have had a lease quote as follows

128ti
Storm bay
Live cockpit pro
Sun glass
18in wheels
Standard interior

Stock car £3.5k in and £400pm. Not cheap but can it be bettered do we think?
I assume this is from Arnold Clark?
What mileage?
Have a look what sort of prices are being quoted on leasing.com and leaseloco as a comparison.
If Arnold Clark did you ask for a M135i quote?

Sorry for all the questions!!
