So that's my car away to have the Ti decals fitted as spec'd and I'm furious that I'll have to slum it in there curtsey car for the next week

woohoo
What model is that? Looks very swish!
840d M Sport. £70k apparently just need a lottery win to pick myself up one.
Oh it’s the 8 series GC version? Some cues from the Maserati Granturismo.

Yeah GC thankfully as I'm away for the weekend with the in-laws didn't fancy squeezing them into a coupe. It does look like that now you mention it. What a machine though H&K blows the doors off, gesture controls and torque for days.

Yep £440/m 2 years ago for a 840i GC, nearly cancelled a MB 350 Coupe for it. Oh for those days again! Anyway here’s to September and hopefully the arrival of the 128ti

For reference, I ordered at the start of May and being told it will arrive early Oct. I added the Tech pack

Mad how the market has changed folk paying that for a 3 series now. After having a go in the 840 I'd bite someone's hand off for that price tremendous bit of kit!

It is, I’m quite impatient but fortunately it works well for me as I’m renovating my house. Last thing I want is the builders and diggers getting crap all over it!! smile

Not that i'm sad or anything but i tracked the boat (Viking Amber) last night watching my car trundle across the water at a painstakingly slow 12 knots.

Docked at Southampton at 01:15 this morning. I've already offered the dealer to send a recovery truck to the docks if i could get it back here any quicker. Surprisingly, he declined.

Something about paperwork.. blah blah blah.

Like a fat kid in a cake shop at the mo.

To the folk who use the BMW app and have "red bits" on the Ti does it match the car image on the app? Asking for an OCD friend.

Ok so I’m starting to get really stressed out now I ordered on the 25th of March and was told 16 week lead time which would of been 13th of July, my order has now delayed for some reason twice and now they’re saying it won’t even arrive to the dealer on bmw live chat till the 6th of September so I won’t get it until around the 13th.

I’d avoid ordering through Arnold Clark to be honest, I see people who order through bmw get their cars in 8 weeks yet mine will be a total of around 25 weeks that’s if it isn’t put back again.

Not really an Arnold Clarke issue, there's long delays with all manufacturers on a multitude of different models right now mainly due to semi conductor chip shortages.

Kind of is when I was promised 16 weeks then keep getting fed lies about they are positive it will come forward yet it’s going backwards.

Sounds like we’re in the same boat, guessing you have the tech pack?

As I said a few weeks ago I’ve come to the conclusion it will arrive when it arrives…

Probably be a new shape out by the time we get them lol

Maybe AC are playing down lead times in order to secure sales and then just stalling with updates to cover the void ?
