Am I being too frivolous in wanting a sunroof at about £22 a month?
That is my first option everytime so much more light in the car and for me the first time in the year I open it is a real occasion.

This is PH. You are supposed to reply on the lines of, a lease car is a hair shirt white goods product. No options, flat colour and give it back as soon as you can biggrin

Haha - well I started out thinking of keeping to the standard spec, once I found out paint was like a £1 and sun protection glass £6 (I think). After this I am not fussed and have stuck to the keep it basic mindset...although have doubted myself a few times since seeing everyone else’s spec which all look really nice!

Still no progress on my order and not heard from Harry Fairbairn BMW Glasgow (this is who AC order through) with any details. Any one got past order submitted?

Nope, just an email from Leanne yesterday saying the dealer had the order, they were waiting on an ETA and that she would check it everyday and update me once she knows a date.

Ride quality?. Hmm...... not nice a little bit unsettled like the run flats on my 3 series
Thanks. Bit worrying but hopefully playing with the pressures a bit and an increase in ambient temperature will see things improve. I’m sticking with 18s but not planning on adding adaptive suspension...

i've read plenty on babybmw.net and most seemed to imply the 19's on the F40 M135i were a better ride than 18's on the F20 M135i.
I believe stock pressures are on the high side as well, maybe 'ThePrisoner' has checked his/hers though?

Good point duckson - when I had my 330Ci the sticker pressure was 42psi for the rears - I used to run them at 38 IIRC.

Vehcile order form signed - Tuesday PM

Looks like I am all sorted.

Question about gap insurance - not sure I really understand but would others (on a 3+35 deal) be considering it please?
I think you would be risking it not to have it I got mine from a sponsor of babybmw, net very helpful in explaining things and far cheaper than a dealer https://gapinsurance.co.uk/
Thanks (and thanks to Duckson), I will follow this link and get some organized closer to the time.

Just a quick question as this would be my first lease

When would the initial rental be paid.. will it be as soon as the order goes through or when the car has been delivered

Boston or Berlin trim?

If it’s anything like other leases I’ve had, you pay the lump sum on delivery.

Gone for Berlin myself.

Yep the initial will usually be around the delivery or so (it'll be in theT&C's no doubt, surei've seen it), if you had gone with a broker they will usually charge a fee (£200-300) and want it once you place the order. Main dealers don't charge this fee or I havent heard of one doing so, it's certainly not happened in my experience.

Whats the views on the performance tryes as a no cost option.. it seems a no bariner but how practical are they in the real world i.e fuel efficiency cost to replace and general ride

The early reviewers all said go with the performance tyres as the are Pilot Sport 4s.

I’ve went with them.

Apologies if I came over as an alarmist, that wasn't my intention,

I haven't had anytime to play with the car but read on other forums that the consensus is the Bidgestones are not ideal but can be improved as mentioned above by altering the tyre pressures .

You won't be disappointed with car . biggrin

I put PS4S on Cupra (Contis stock) and I can honestly say it change the car even decent in the wet. £150 a corner on 235/35/19 though. Ouch.

First post, and sparked off by this car!

I've been rolling with a grande punto sporting for the past 10 years, and thought it's finally time to upgrade. Got in touch with Leanna as I thought David might be swamped, but he got in touch anyway. Asked him about the following on a 3+35 deal on 8k miles.

Misano blue
18" wheels with the optional performance tyres
Cloth upholstery
Berlin Trim
Deletion of exterior design elements
Through-loading system
Front lumbar support
Sun protection glass

Shame you can't get the H&K system on its own as I'd like that without the 19" alloys, but anything is going to better than my ancient halfords sound system.

Ditto, does anyone know what the BMW option code is for the 4s tyres are, I want to ensure that my order has that listed?

Front lumbar support - that isn't stock?
