Nice! Do you know if the centre consol will have the larger screen also?
I don’t know mate, truth is I’d rather not have had the digital dash but it is what it is. More technology that I’ll have to learn about - I haven’t really sussed all the stuff on my Volvo S60 yet. I’m a PlayStation kind of guy, not a PC guy smile

I've had a mess around with volvo infotainment system easy to get lost.

The bigger system looks nicer on the eye in BMW.

It's worth noting that within the Live cockpit the speedo and tacho work in opposite directions. wobble

It takes a little time to get used to this, but its not a problem . biggrin

The configurator on the BMW website now has the live cockpit as a pre-chosen option.

Yeah I noticed that.

It's not just the digital dashboard but also includes a bigger center console screen. It's now 10.25" compared to the standard 8.5". Would be a nice free upgrade if we get it.

Not often you get a freebie with leasing but I'll take it if it has!

Quick order update.

From Arnold Clark, my estimated delivery date has moved back from July to Aug.

However I have done some digging with BMW directly and have a May build slot and May delivery.

Currently taking both with a pinch of salt until I know car has gone in to build.

I’ve still not had any paperwork so I’m endeavouring to chase them up again..... I know that these deals were popular but it seems a rather drawn out process. I understand that the staff are busy, but I’m concerned about the timescales of delivery and changes in cost....

Chase them up again - I think they will do what they can to get it to you. I chased them up on (by phone) Friday and today, the hire agreement just come through a few mins ago. My ACVM order tracker is now listing the car, it says, order received est. delivery 24 May 2021. On my hire agreement there was no change to the price I was quoted last week.

I’ve had to chase via email today. I’ll give them a bell tomorrow if I don’t hear anymore.
Cheers. I think a part of me is chasing it because it’s a decent deal. I quite fancied a RSQ3 and the price difference is quite big..... so
I don’t want my man maths to start kicking in. The sooner I get the order signed the better!

I've not driven a 128 but the RSQ3 gearbox is awful - no amount of man maths can help with that!

Ha! Fair enough. I’ve experienced a few dodgy ones in my time (and gearboxes). It looks like my wallet is saved as the form has just come through. I’ve duly signed and saved myself about £250 a month and a few grand up front.

I’ll have to see if I can get the Mrs to go for something better than her god-awful Renault scenic next....

Yes would be good to know.
Mine now says 9th August from 16th July. Ironically the 9th August will be the 2yrs up for my current Leon Cupra lease.

What’s the ACVM order tracker? I’ve ordered my car but don’t have any link or log in details for a tracker? Did you get this from the AC rep?

My understanding is that, whoever gave you a quote at Arnold Clark would send you an email subject: AutoCentre registration. In the email message to me, it said: As a key contact, we have created an AutoCentre account for you, and would ask you to click the link below to activate the account.

Ultimately, if you get the email, you would be signing into an account on this website: https://autocentre.acvm.com/cgi-bin/tools

Check with the sales rep.

Ok let me know what they say when/if they get back to you!
I’ve had mine 2 years on the 9th August so not too bad, unless the current mid July delivery date slips a chunk that is....
They replied - and it’s not actually that bad. I can extend on a daily basis at an reasonable rate:

“Thank you for getting in touch with us today .This email is to confirm we are able to authorise unofficial late hire of vehicle registration [...]
Your daily late hire charge will be £9.48 (plus VAT).

This is payable instead of, not in addition to your current monthly rental rate following the end of the contract. This will be invoiced to you in arrears at the end of each calendar month.

Should you wish to proceed with the late hire and have already booked a collection with us, please do confirm if you require this collection cancelled.

If you wish to go ahead with the late hire we will need to book a collection for 07/08/2021.

If you wish to return before the end of the 90 day late hire period we will require 5 days’ notice before your preferred collection date to re-schedule this booking for you.”

For perspective, I pay just under £270 a month at present. Did you hear back from ALD?

Thanks for that.

No I haven’t heard anything from them (i haven’t tried to contact them) just the broker (Leasing Options) reminding me my lease is up for renewal in 6 months time.

So I take it the 7th August date quoted there is 90 days after your official lease expiry date?
I guess the only trouble with extending it is I’ll run into the second service if I’m not careful (1st service was done 24th August last year, I purposely did it a couple of weeks after I got the car the year before).

Well at least there is an option there in any case to have it a bit longer!
