128ti update: I knew the delivery date of end of March seemed too good to be true. Arval have told me that BMW miscommunicated the delivery schedule and I will now have my car on the 12th of May.

They are placating me by including the digital cockpit for no extra cost and I am trying to get them to add the Michelins, seeing as the car is still in production.
That's not good. Prob could've PCP'd an in stock one from a dealer for similar money too.

Just read the EVO online test of M135, A35 saloon and Cupra R ST Abt. Kind of wish I hadn’t, having ordered an M135 (without driving one), following 6 years in 2 Golf Rs. Also struggling to
comprehend how the new R is so fast in a straight line (A 45 S rivalling). Need to stop searching the internet and just remain open minded...
M135i is arguably more premium than an R in every other instance other than speed in a straight line though.

Rest assured, you made the right choice!

Well said! I almost pulled the trigger on the golf R deal last month. But the interior (seats and dash) was too flimsy/tacky for my liking. M135i is a complete package.

However the MK8 Golf R is stupid fast!!

Also good to know. Not sat in either - just had a nosey around both from the outside.

Provisionally told mid June to dealer for mine - my R went last Monday but don’t really need a car atm. Will tax my Boxster / get it out of hibernation as soon as the roads are salt free...

Update from Leanne AC. My M135i (order submitted 15th Feb) is due to land at the dealership mid June!

Chuffed with that date...

I haven’t had an estimated delivery for my order yet but the order was processed yesterday.
On my order form it says delivery to Sheffield, where is everyone else’s saying? Thought I read that the orders were being processed through a Scotland dealership so was surprised to see it say Sheffield.
Has anyone had confirmation of how the cars are being delivered to them from the dealer?

Am expecting mine to be driven, based on both my leased Golfs. The last one was trailered to me, albeit one week late after an aborted attempt to drive it to me back in March 2018. My wife leased a 640d from BMW and we collected that from our local BMW dealer which is 10 miles away from us.

Mid June to dealer is what I’ve been advised - completed my paperwork on the 25th Feb.

I’d imagine Arnold Clark (I’m assuming that’s who you’re going through) would find a link to a dealer for PDI a bit closer to the cars final destination with the customer rather than move all vehicles from Southampton, up to Scotland and then out to customers around the UK. But, I could be wrong.

That’s ridiculous. I’d be kicking up a fuss.

My 128ti with AC has the free upgraded Live Cockpit and will arrive early June.

It’s £269 on a 5k 1+35 deal. I’ve gone with 8k per year though at an extra £30 per month. That’s with heated steering wheel.
Agreed but i'm not really one for kicking up a fuss. I have gone back to them and asked if they can meet the spec on the quote I had from AC (metallic, performance tyres, sun protection glass, harmon kardon) at no extra cost to me OR provide me a loan vehicle for the time I will be without (probably very unlikely).

That’s great if they are planning to trailer them.

My contract states in the small print that I am responsible for arranging delivery to myself (or words to that effect). I’ve had 2 leased cars and my wife has had 4 and not had to do that so far and am not expecting to with this one tbh!

Mine says Harry Fairbairn Giffnock (Glasgow), I'm north west England and much nearer Sheffield (Sytner i assume) or alot of other places!

Hmm - a strange one. Harry Fairbairn are owned by Arnold Clark I believe, so that bit makes sense in your case.

I suppose the main thing is that you all get a good, speedy service however it gets to you. Looking forward to seeing pics of these cars when they arrive.

Question as we generally all have same the t & c so i thought I would ask this question here

Due to some issues i am in two minds whether to go ahead with the lease

Would i be able to cancel as the car has not been delivered or have a build slot

Or will i still be subject to the termination fees stated in the t &cs
