Can you keep all the negatives to a minimum please. Given it’s too late to cancel, I’d rather be in ignorance biggrin

My Misano blue 128ti is being delivered to me next week. I can't bloody wait.

On the economy thing, my 987 Boxster can get mid 30's on a motorway run so i'd expect mid 40's from the 128ti for sure! Ordered it through Arval late Feb.

Pros
• Looks incredible, so much more presence than a 118i or a low end version of a 1 series
• Live cockpit and larger display free of charge (I use Apple CarPlay and it looks brilliant on the large display)
• Very quick!!! Especially from about 30/40mph+
• Incredible high spec finish throughout (even if someone went for the most basic spec, it would still feel very premium - plenty of tech)
• Standard seats are brilliant
• Brakes well
• Slip diff works very well

Cons
• Car fully equipped to do additional things (Automatic high beams for instance) - but you have to pay to unlock these features in the BMW Connected Drive store. Want automatic high beams? That’s £160 sir!
• Fuel economy isn’t great - but then again, that’s an unfair judgment on my part because whilst I have been driving sensibly for the most part, I also have kicked the st out of it on a couple of backroads

1 week in and that’s my evaluation so far.

Waze works through Apple CarPlay or the Android equivalent - if that helps!

Email from AC this morning regarding my 135

“We are being chased by BMW regarding your vehicle. There is an additional discount which has been applied in order to get the rental as cheap as it is, however, BMW are looking for June registration in order to fulfil this additional discount can we begin to set up June delivery?“

Anyone else had similar?

Sorry can’t figure out how to reply to specific posts but initial rental was just over £1700.

Nothing been said about comfort access, will wait and see. I spoke to AC today as they had got spec wrong on order and nothing mentioned.

Also, I’m a ‘she’, not a ‘he’ 🤣 Might be the only one on here!

Private plate retention certificate has now come back from the DVLA (3 week turnaround) and I need to post it to Lynn.

Wonder what the earliest delivery date will be?
Anyone had their car arrive at the dealer in the last week and been offered a delivery date (an ASAP date)?

Cheers guys, they deliver any weekday apparently.

I’m Preston so maybe delivery will be into June although not far from the M6 which is the main route down from Scotland.

Delivery is possible for Thu 27th May, suits me!

Just need to arrange collection of the Leon Cupra from ALD, doesn’t matter if we have both cars for a short while.

Insurance for two cars might be a challenge.

I am having my M135i delivered on Tuesday 1 Jun. I asked them to make sure my personal number plate is put on the car before it is delivered. They will contact me prior to delivery to take the initial payment from me. rotate

It’s ok as I sold my M2 last June so we’ve been down to one car, so need to use my own NCB on the M135i, Mrs has her own policy on the Cupra currently. In 12 months we’ll swap her policy to the M135i for a year.
