This one pal: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-TP696-5-5ltr-Manua...

I only paid £42 for it; god knows why it's double the price!

I have just bought this though as I've dropped the Sealey one and cracked it slightly:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/slredirect/picassoRedi...

The pipes aren't long enough as they come (not for my E39); but just ordered some longer pipe to rectify that smile
Which extra pipes? Did the extraction pipe on your new one not reach the bottom of the sump?
It does, but the pumps so tall that I had to do a balancing act; the pump on the floor, the pipes are too short (only 1m long)

However, the pipe off the new pump fit the old Sealey extractor, so that's what I did

I'll soon fudge something biggrin

Went to King exhausts in Blackpool and got a 'muffler delete' done with a stainless 3" finishing section & tailpipe fabricated to keep it looking as OEM as possible thumbup

How loud is that going to be?

I need to do something to increase the volume of mine. Muffler deletes seems quite popular but they also sound a bi obnoxious on the YT vids which have so far formed my research. I’m tempted by the Performance exhaust mod (get the back boxes opened up and replace the two outer perforated pipes with solid ones).

I had the pleasure of the starter motor on my other half’s 125i. What an absolute st of a job. It’s not finished yet because of one vacuum line / squeeze connector that it as absolute bd to get to….

This little sucker at the front of the inlet manifold is a nightmare. I’m off to pick up sone better bent nose pliers to try and get in the very small gap. I thought I’d try and get the manifold off so I can actually see what I’m doing. The bodge way of just loosening it and wriggling it as far out of the way as possible seemed more hassle than it’s worth….until now! hehe

If I can’t get this loose, I’ll have to revert back to that option.

Not loud at all pal; hence why I'm very happy with it

It lets you know there's something more interesting under the bonnet; but it's not in your face/ASBO loud etc smile

When you're on the throttle it lets out a superb V8 sound; but when driving normally and cruising at speed it's very subtle biggrin

Manifold off is how I did it. I just snapped those lines off and replaced with new. hehe

Hooning Enjoying my F10 530i on the lovely empty sweeping back roads of South East Ireland. For a big old girl it can shift and the particularly enjoying the throttle response of the engine on the bends smile Stunning scenery and beaches too. Falling back in love with the car as the clogged up roads of the UK put a stop to all that.

N53 seems to benefit from a bit of a thrashing too.

Funny you should say that…..

I bought some long bent nose pliers which got that from one removed within a few minutes. Wicked in though….

The vent hose was ever so slightly in the way when accessing the rear bolt so I tried to give myself a tiny bit more room and the fker snapped. It’s unbelievably brittle on this car, more so than on my 130i.

That stopped play for the day as I’m waiting on the new part to arrive….surprisingly cheap at £40 especially when there are jokers on eBay trying to sell it for £90!

I then spent the rest of the morning cleaning what I could and dressing all of the plastics removed.

It means you shouldn’t need to be in there for a while, fortunately.

When I did mine I did the starter, PCV (silver top, so external to the valve cover), all of the hoses, and all gaskets too. Namely to make sure I didn’t need to pull the inlet for a few years after.

Ideally I’d do the lot but I think the valve cover needs replacing. It’s leaking slightly and it looks like the very edge of one of the bolts has snapped off (you can just make it out in this picture).

Given that it needs a new cover plus gaskets and I’ve just spunked a load of money on parts for the 335i it’ll have to wait a little while.

I’m tempted to do the oil cooler and filter housing gasket ps whilst the engine is in bits. I have the gaskets and bolts in a box in the garage.

Having removed the rest of the air intake, I think mission creep is go-go….

It’s pretty skanky underneath, so it looks like it’s been leaking for a wee while.

Removed yet another car park scratch, this time from the sill, Christ knows how someone managed to gouge it that low down but at least it wasn’t in the middle of the door.

That’s annoying. Careless stuff like that really pisses me off. I need to get the newest dent removed from the 125i at some poin.

I finally got round to removing the awful window tint on the rear. Shame I didn't get a before picture of the bubbling mess, but this is where I'm at now

I can see out the back now! woohoo

Too low for a trolley, bottom of a shopping bag or handbag

Week 2 in my 640 ownership. Last week Drive Train errors, today a nice nail right in the middle of a brand new tyre…

Hopefully it can be repaired if not another expense! Sat waiting in a F1 Centre….
