Because my cars under BMW warranty and I want to keep the car as OEM as I can
Plus I've seen a lot of the aftermarket ones fitted and they don't look to fit as well; a lot seem to have odd gaps etc
Not all aftermarket parts are equal; my Reiger diffuser on my M140i fitted well.Plus I've seen a lot of the aftermarket ones fitted and they don't look to fit as well; a lot seem to have odd gaps etc

Hence my struggle as it looks like it'll have to fork out OEM pricing haha
Fought the lack of space to get my solid charge pipe fitted last night.
And then discovered the hard way that my DCI’s won’t fit because they clash with the stock diverter valves that sit higher because of the bigger charge pipe. Lots of frustration later, the charge pipe remains and I’ll be sticking with the stock air box for now.

Surely it’s time for some shiny diverter valves? I remember from my petrol turbo days the membranes used to split in the standard plastic valves. And then discovered the hard way that my DCI’s won’t fit because they clash with the stock diverter valves that sit higher because of the bigger charge pipe. Taxed the 140, £165 seems a bargain in comparison to the above. Clean pass of the MOT as well which was nice.
It does however need discs and pads all round in the not too distant future which will be less nice.
It’s even worse for M3 owners; the E92 is now £695 a year. It does however need discs and pads all round in the not too distant future which will be less nice.
It must be costing more in VED than insurance for many owners. It’s even heading that way for me and my 335i.

Does anyone have a splitter on a lowered car ideally an F3x
Quite like the look of the Varis splitter but can’t be bothered to crawl over every speed bump at 2 mph because I am on the Eibach pro kit
Not particularly desperate for one .. thinking more of a subtle lip spoiler for the boot instead

My F31 isn't lowered, on OEM M Sport suspension and I have to be careful going over speed-humps and generally take them at an angle etc...Quite like the look of the Varis splitter but can’t be bothered to crawl over every speed bump at 2 mph because I am on the Eibach pro kit

I also reverse into parking spaces if there's a kerb etc as the front splitter will drag on it! I've made that mistake once, won't do it again...
It's an aftermarket version of the OEM splitter (it doesn't quite fit flush into the corners on the bumper); I do want to replace it with an OEM one, but at c£500, I'm holding off for now!
