Busy day there Sam thumbup

Doing the interior trim & clean Saturday knocked me sideways, so didn't do anything yesterday (on the car); might give it a good wash tomorrow if I've enough energy... rolleyes
I’m feeling it a bit this morning; I’m getting too old to be rolling around under cars! laugh

The 330i looks ste already after it’s wash; it’s covered in dust and general debris. Joy.

Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Had mine washed and valeted by a chap who visits my work on Thursday. There’s already a thin film of dust or pollen or something across the bonnet. It’s been like this for weeks now, definitely something in the air.

Had it picked up for a service - it's Inspection time which usually makes my wallet quiver slightly, although it had the oil changed 3k miles ago so we're leaving the current stuff in there - so should just be plugs, filters and a new ABS Sensor on the rear going by Carly.

Fingers crossed it's just the sensor and the rings haven't gone again, as they were a pig of a job last time.

Haha yeah; that's why I don't bother any more pal. I'm fortunately to have my pals do most of the main work for me, I'll just do bits here n there etc...

It's really dusty here; both cars are filthy with pollen & dust etc; spotless inside, so that's not too bad...

I'm getting there thanks Sam; just need to not expect too much, too soon... The last week really knocked me for six; so behaving myself and when I'm knackered I'm downing tools etc

the battery under the shark fin failing causing the SOS failure (diy for £50).
Did that involve pulling out half the roof lining?

Got it back yesterday after its service - turned out the reluctor ring on the back right did need replaced, but it was a far less involved job than last time - apparently you can buy the rings individually now rather than as part of a service kit, so a £400 job turned into a £50 one, which was nice.

Also had 6 new plugs, pollen and air filter and a rear control arm which had some play in it, along with the reluctor ring and ABS Sensor.

Not bad for 170k, now just have to hope that error code from the (original ) water pump goes away....

All four wheels refurbished by McNealy Brown, who did a cracking job at the most competitive price I could find. Would recommend strongly.

It’s really shown up how crap my eBay special centre caps are. Time for some proper ones then!

Yup; for c£40 IMO it's not worth skimping on cheap copies with their foil caps etc...

Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct transmission fluid so I can get it changed in my ZF8 Gearbox? I know BMW say it's sealed for life but ZF say 8 years or 100,000 miles. My car is a 2015, although only on 45k miles.

ZF Lifeguard 8 is the fluid you’d need. And a filter/sump.

That looks right, but I'd wager AutoDoc will be cheaper - certainly normally is for the 6HP kit.

Just get it into your local ZF autobox specialist and let them sort it. It'll be done properly and you'll get warranty on the work then

Changed all of the rear exhaust hangers, I had forgotten how fiddly a job it is.

Reinstalled the 330i badge last night; where the i was, the paint was darker for some reason which looked rubbish, so I relented and ordered a new badge.

I also realised yesterday that I’ve lost the locking wheel nut key….I think I left it in the wheels on Monday before taking it for a quick test drive….new one as been ordered so I can do get front discs and pads.

Bin em Sam; they're only going to cause problems later down the line
