Part of the problem i'm having is that - according to the search capability in Black Circles at least - not all manufacturers do both sizes that i need. I've just checked and Black Circles will supply P Zero rears (275/35 R19) but not fronts (245/40 R19). They're also not listing Eagle in that front tyre size. I dont need all four now but i'd like to be able to have a matching set at some point down the line when the fronts are due.
I've found that also. Very frustrating.

Wow, you've done a lot of work on the car in a short space of time thumbup

What are your thoughts on the 630i so far? Enjoying it?

Do you not have a code reader for the airbag light reset? I must have reset the airbag light on mine 50 times until I finally (fingers crossed) sorted the issue.

What code reader resets it?

If you've got a laptop you can get a free download of INPA (and various other BMW tools) which can check and reset all the modules. You'll need a BMW-specific OBD2 cable too, mine was about 20 quid tops. There are various phone apps too that can read and reset fault codes, but the one I have only seems to access the engine module so can't give a specific recommendation.

Or you can probably just disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

I've found that one of the best things about running older BMs is that a decent diagnostic setup costs no more than 25 quid. The equivalent for the Merc when I've looked into it is more like £150.

So if i was sticking with runflats then Pirelli P Zeros would be the way to go?

Coming in at around £250 a corner according to Black Circles, but i think my local indy would be cheaper.

Are you talking about ride quality, or grip, or both?
Good experience with Eagle F1 RFTs on my E91.

I keep bothering Jon (Tyre Review guy on YouTube) to do a RFT group test, no success to date. frown

Not helped by the fact the Black Circles App doesnt allow you to select tyres of varying widths in the same session - you have to add two to basket then go back and plug in all your details again.

Will probably kick the can down the road to September / October time and then maybe make it my local tyre fitters problem to confirm he can get me a matching set.
Camskill have all those FYI thumbup

My quaife equipped diff woes continue on my e92. The noisy bearings saga has been going on for most of this year. I’ve taken it out so many times I’ve got it down to less than 2 hours on the drive to take it out and put it back in! I even know every nut and bolt size off by heart now!
Anyway, I’ve refitted the 2.81 ratio auto diff I’ve got as a spare while I get to the bottom of the problems with my 2.35 manual item
If I didn’t have so much time and money invested in it I would just sell the quaife and give up!

Yes, bit of a shock to the system / bank balance how much it has cost to sort it out. I've been spoilt with my last few cars as i bought them at the right price and thus there was headroom for any spend. This has been different. They are fairly rare in NI and i really like the colour combo / spec so i ended up paying full private sale money for it in the first instance.

Not overly bothered but i do need to start getting real use out of it. Plan on running it a year or two anyway and not likely to lose a lot in the grand scheme of things, come resale time.

It was coming up with this fault on the iDrive:

And this on the dash:

I've found the C310 a really helpful bit of kit for all my BMWs (E46: identifying crank sensor issues and MAF problems, E91: Vanos Solenoid, E63: Misfire/coil pack, E70: EVAP valve). Definitely worth having on your shelf imo (if you're not going to go down the INPA or Carly route)

It must be the App then - I didn't have that problem when I ordered my staggered set in April on their website.

Oponeo doesn't either. It's either fronts or backs which are different!

That's really the main thing with wife and baby in the car.

I'm not sure effective/successful the goo/pump kit is.
I don’t think there’s any right or wrong answer. The last puncture I had, I dint think an RFT would have done any better (hit a brick that fell off a lorry in front of me and the side wall had a gash in it). My other half doesn’t travel far from home so we’re happy enough taking the benefits of a better ride / handling and risking a puncture.

That’s looking really good now. These are ageing really well, I still think the interior is a lovely place to sit.

My original wing mirrors were OEM heated/chromatic etc. £440 each!

I managed to find the same glass on ECP a month back, £65 each (last of that stock) and bought two RHD glass as its simply a case of fitting one upside down for the left hand side...

Worth having a look on ECP if I were you.

It's OEM glass with the BMW logo ground off
OE Glass, £415 from BMW!

Loads of cheap aftermarket (heated) options, but not sure whether they'd actually have the autodim function.

ECP has this Macht glass but again, not sure if has autodim.

It's tricky. 99% of the time, it's fine. It's that 1% where you're damning yourself for not taking those additional precautions.
