Fitted & retrofitted Electric Cloth/Alcantara sport interior in my E91 today, with a little help from recommended source.
Nice! Maybe once the kids get past the stage of spilling all sorts of horrid stuff in the car I'll swap my leather out for alcantara. Or maybe I should just swap the front seats and enjoy the comfort of alcantara while the kids slum it on the leather in the rear biggrin

Blimey….if you do sell, someone will be getting a cracking car.

What would you replace it with?

I'd like to think so pal; but not something I'm rushing...

Probably another 7'er TBH; but it'd need to be a E65/F01 V8 or an F01 730D with a cracking spec etc

Not interested in an E38; just too long in the tooth now and it'd be a backwards step, IMO; from my touring

I’m a huge fan of the E38 (last good looking 7 to my eyes) but totally get what you mean about it not really being a huge step up from the 5 (almost sideways now).

Do the E65 B8’s suffer the same issues as the E63?

They do; the 750i and 650i are the same engine; but there are a few that I'm looking at, that have had the essential (in my view) oil seals & cooling system work done wink

Booked my 130i in for the 135i backbox to be fitted next week.

I’m going to leave the resonator removal for now and see how is get on with the new backbox. I’d rather have the opportunity to do more than be thinking it’s too much.

It’s booked in for the rear bumper to be sorted a week on Monday.

Res delete is very loud. A mate has a 130i LE with a 135i back box and no res and it’s a wake the neighbours type of car.

Sounds like just getting the backbox done is the right call. It’s already got the BMW Performance carbon intake and mishimoto intake pipe. I’ve also got to remember that at some point, I’ll be commuting a couple of days a week.

Finally washed the X5.

AG shampoo.
Meguiar's Scratch X (as required)
AG SRP
AG HD Wax
Auto Finesse trim dressing
Hoovered/cleaned the inside. Wife likes the new black mats. I think they do a good job of breaking up the interior.

Next week, maybe the 630i...

It had factory BMW rubber mats which are great in autumn/winter but felt it was nice to have a bit of proper carpet to put one's feet on.

Spent a couple of hours cleaning my ‘fairly dirty’ engine bay. Wife thinks I’m odd, but I like a clean engine bay..& I find cleaning/polishing my car quite relaxing. Headphones on, micro fibre cloths and wax out. #zenmode smile

How much were you fleeced for the mats? They make such a big difference but are literally the dullest car purchase ever!

My M3 LCA’s finally arrived today courtesy of Autodoc. TRW jobbies with the M logo ground off, a snip and £50 each through the app. Hopefully the chap on BabyBMW will get me a set of his stage one camber plates made shortly and I can get it all fitted.

Just over £100 with the 5 forums discount via Cotswolds BMW pal; TBH I was happy paying that as the top quality aftermarket ones were close to £80 and for near that; I'd rather have OEM and the OEM fitment/quality etc!

They are boring I know; but it's the little details wink

About what I paid for mine.

Even the posh aftermarket ones are a bit crap. The OE ones do last well though, but it still stings handing over £100 for some car mats. hehe
