Just over £100 with the 5 forums discount via Cotswolds BMW pal; TBH I was happy paying that as the top quality aftermarket ones were close to £80 and for near that; I'd rather have OEM and the OEM fitment/quality etc!
They are boring I know; but it's the little details
About what I paid for mine. They are boring I know; but it's the little details
Even the posh aftermarket ones are a bit crap. The OE ones do last well though, but it still stings handing over £100 for some car mats.

Well TBH I did ask for some pennies towards them for my 42nd a few weeks back; and that's what I got. So they were a treat (that makes it worse doesn't it)?!
quite possibly…I’m just salty because I need to buy a second set for her car too.
Ebay specials needed

I bought the fancy Platinum Option from carmats4u which was recommended on PH (seems quite popular in the Aston Martin section).
They are very nice, in fact probably too nice/thick. Certainly lend an air of luxury to the car. Will be putting the rubber ones back in once we get into Autumn/winter and risk of mud etc.

That colour looks fab
Thanks, yet to see another X5 in this colour. I've forgotten how nice it was under the layers of dirt!g3org3y said:

But the platinum ones you linked to were the ones I looked at and TBH; I'd rather go with OEM as their fitment is perfect and they are very plush!

Fit is great with these tbf. I looked on eBay for OEM X5 mats but could only find them in grey and was too lazy to email the Cotswald guy. Speaking of which, need to email him about a new gear knob for the 630i.It does mean I only paid £30 towards them

330i had some work done today - O/S front wheel bearing, was very worn. Also gearbox mounts.
Collected a few bits for my 130 this morning.
Going to try and to the valvetronic sensor seal this weekend mine looks a bit weepy and I’ve since found out that it can be done with the sensor in place (ie no rocker cover gasket). It was a cheap part so seems sensible.
Got a few spare clips for the gear linkage so I can try my Z3 shifter which is a tad shorter them the OE one.
Also picked up an M3 xenon regulator rod so I can get my M3 LCA’s fitted once I can get hold of my camber plates.
135i backbox is getting fitted tomorrow, so I’ve taken a video of the OE box so I can compare the two.

Managed to work out a plan with the wife so we can get a new car in the new year after we've moved house, but still keep the 125i next to it. Means I've had to lower my sights from a 440i GC, but she seems incredibly amenable to getting a "family hatchback", like a 128ti or M135i.
I suspect the lack of cylinders / wrong wheel drive issue will be easier to deal with if there's a proper BMW I also have use of

Consider a 428i or 430i GC? Sure there’s no straight six but I like my 428i very much. A surprising amount of room inside, only issue is it’s quite low down. I suspect the lack of cylinders / wrong wheel drive issue will be easier to deal with if there's a proper BMW I also have use of

Sounds like a decent compromise.I suspect the lack of cylinders / wrong wheel drive issue will be easier to deal with if there's a proper BMW I also have use of
I quite like the 128ti, more so than the M135i for some reason.
I had my 135i backbox fitted today to my 130i.
It’s quite a bit bassier on start up and had added some extra noise. The car already had the golf tee mod done which I’ve carried over. The tips are bigger than the old ones (it came with brand new shadow tips, not my first choice but they’ll be fine for now).
With the window down slightly there were a few crackles on the overrun but nothing too silly. It’s a notable improvement without being OTT and with the windows up it’s perfectly send enough for a longer journey.
If it stops raining I’ll try and grab a start up video to compare to I’ve of the stock exhaust.

Nice. I think it’s a nice change. I also think the 128ti is cooler than an M135i. That said I’ve owned an E36 318ti and an E46 325ti.
On the topic of floormats, I ordered a set of genuine BMW rubber mats for my E91. Ive got a big trip planned to Scotland at the end of November and I’ve wanted some winter mats for a while. They’ll go in at the same time as the winter wheels go on I’d think. I do prefer carpet ones normally though.

I thought about getting rubber ones too; but the carpet ones soak up the moisture better etc and seeing as I keep my car very clean, I'm happy to re-use the old mats over winter and keep the velour OEM ones in spotless condition (if I still have the car that is)!Waynester said:
Ordered some 20” Veemann VC7 alloys from BM Autosport & Eibach springs for the 630i.. Bit bored with the oe 218 style alloys and ‘rally car’ arch gaps..
Any pics yet?Thinking of changing the alloys on my 630i. Needs two new rear tyres soon. Runflats all round so want to replace them all. Alloys could do with a refurb. By the time i do all that i'm well on the way to the price of a new set of rims anyway (man maths running rampant!)
Looking for inspiration!

I have a E91 which came with gen BMW rubber mats. I’ve bought a set of gen BMW velour ones, fitted them all round but put the rubber ones on top in the back.I also think the 128ti is cooler than an M135i. That said I’ve owned an E36 318ti and an E46 325ti.

Like a th'ole in th'ead
Today I spent a good hour messing around with connected drive trying to work out why it wasn't showing the location of my car/fuel level on the app. The answer was that because the connected drive app is now replaced with the "MyBMW" app. Might have saved me some time if they'd mentioned that somewhere!!
