Had it dropped off after spending the week being serviced and having the wheels stripped and refinished Ferric Grey, just a quick pic but I'm awfully pleased with the result - in fact I'm struggling to believe they are the same wheels.
Looks well that. I think these little coupes have aged really well.

SUPER original, really nice. Shame it doesn't have air con though.
I said to the good lady that the one thing I would change is to add A/C to it, as to have A/C in the early 90's was mega cool (pun intended). Buying 28 years on, beggars can't be choosers mind.MOMACC said:
Ran over a screw 100 miles from home.
AA called at 5pm
Arrived at 8pm
Couldn't fit the isofix seat in the truck
Got a taxi at 9pm and home for 11pm
Nightmare of a wait with a hungry toddler.
Tyre was only 4 weeks old too.

Not possible to use the tyre goo/compressor fix?
This is the reason I've kept my E91 and E70 (the wife's main cars) on RFTs tbh.

Bought a cup holder!
My 630i had the optional extra cup holder however the cup itself has been lost by a previous owner, so there was just the little silver bracket.
They're around £400 new and generally make £100 or so good, used on ebay. Got one that was just newly listed for £70. Seems in excellent condition.
No doubt it will piss my wife off where it sits but its detachable and not having it for completeness was annoying me.
Pic of what it looks like in a six series
A surprising oversight in the design process isn't it. No cup holder in mine and to retrofit is a faff. My 630i had the optional extra cup holder however the cup itself has been lost by a previous owner, so there was just the little silver bracket.

At least you had the bracket!. My 645 didn’t have one at all and it’s one of those annoying things you never think about.
Looks good though and a bargain too

Yes, its kind of why i bought it. The bracket is there (which annoys me that i have the bracket and not the thing to go in it) and also because i have the bracket there already, i have been drawn to getting the cup holder even though the overall design of it is a bit of a naff afterthought.I do like a coffee with me when i'm heading out though so that'll be handy rather than having to use the one in the rear of the centre console or have to watch it bounce precariously if i'm the Z4C - they're the flimsy pop out plastic ones in it beneath the vents.

The tyre looks repairable.
Mrs E63 once called me because she found a screw in her fairly new tyre. Drove half an hour to change her wheel, followed her home, looked up how much a replacement tyre would be and when it could be fitted, looked up whether a puncture repair would be an option, eventually thought that taking it out couldn't hurt. Unscrewed the screw, which turned out to be broken off and less than 5mm long. Tyre was fine until she sold the car. Swore at it a lot, punched it a bit, swore at it some more and then finally got the sodding headlight out. Don’t know what’s wrong with it but there is voltage at the connector so a new headlight has been ordered for a princely sum of £255. I am extremely glad the first owner didn’t spec xenons!
Oh and whoever decided you need to remove the entire bumper to remove a headlight, and also squeeze your hand into an impossibly small gap to undo the last headlight bolt, fk you.

Sounds as bad as my FIL's F10; bloody bumper off jobby too to get to the headlight Oh and whoever decided you need to remove the entire bumper to remove a headlight, and also squeeze your hand into an impossibly small gap to undo the last headlight bolt, fk you.
Saying that my previous E65 was a bumper off job just to change the bloody halo light... Stupid design!
Took my 130 to the garage to get my valvetronic issue looked at.
Sod’s law the error code didn’t make an appearance having popped up been cleared and reappeared a couple of times. They don’t think the valvetronic gasket is leaking, certainly nothing major. They reckon the worst of the mess under the engine cover has been caused by poor top ups.
I’ll take the engine cover off at sone point and do my best to clean it all up. That should make it easier to spot any leaks.
It’s running pretty well other than a slight fluctuation in the revs from time to time.

Unfortunately not, apparently run flats arent repairable according to Kwik Fit and the AA. Nightmare when you pop it 100 miles from home.
I had one repaired for £10 by my regular tyre place on my 1 Series back in 2013, and ran it for more than another 10K miles with no problems!
