I see much less of any car at the moment as I'm working from home, and instead of 30,000 miles a year I've only done 1,000. My Z4M hasn't moved for a while.
I'm not surprised you're seeing less though as you're trying to compare the numbers of the e85 and e89 - which were both made/sold for 7/8 years - to the G29 which was only launched in 2018 and been on sale for 3 years - one of which has been COVID-2020?

The sports car segment is dying. Sport is dead, the tough SUV is where it`s at.
I hate to admit it, but you may be right. Watched this really good review the other night, and the reviewers say exactly the same thing. Albeit, with an EV twist thrown in for good measure.

My theory is, if you are tempted to buy the new Z4 then do it now or regret it later. I don't foresee the used market being saturated in a few years time.
All IMHO of course.
There are a couple of new shape Z4s locally, but I still haven't seen a new gen Supra. It's a dead sector as others have said, which is a pity. But having said that, I've never been in the market for something Z4/Supra-esque, so I really can't lament their imminent demise as it's not a sector I support.

You are allowed to have both if you want though! Kawasicki said:

As has been said, that sector appears to be more or less dead. The Boxster has it wrapped up and I see far more new Boxster’s than new Z4’s. I’ve not seen a Supra in the flesh yet.
The Z4 generally sees, to come across as a slightly confused car; not quite a full on sports car not neither is its soft top GT.

I think to have a convertible two seater in your fleet is a good option for the sunny days.
It might not be a two seater, but I’ve enjoyed nicking my other half’s 125i can that we bought in January. It sounds great and driving with the roof down is really enjoyable. Even though it’s far from flash, I thought I’d feel a bit silly doing so but I really don’t. Our little boy loves it too.I've only ever seen one of the current Z4 (and no Supras...) in these parts.
It looked absolutely stunning in the flesh. Had a real sense of speed about it and the massive overhangs didn't seem to matter.
It looks complete gash in any photo, however. Perhaps that's part of the problem.
