All,

Would be grateful for some tyre reccomendations.

I do a few trackdays a year as well so if anyone has used theirs for trackday use I would be interested.

+ has anyone gone wider on the width, was there much benefit to this?

Many thanks,
Brendon

I am running Goodyear GSD3 F1s on my e36 evo and they feel great. Standard size 245/40/R17 rear and 225/45/R17 front.

Can't comment about performance on track for a full set as I have only just fitted them however when running F1s on the rear and Avon ZZ1s on the front I did find the fronts going off due to overheating after 10 minutes or so at Donington Park.

Heavy car so the only real option for track work is a dedicated set of wheels/tyres or a major programme of weight loss.

I've always used and liked Continental SportContact as they seem to grip really well, but also allow the rear to breakaway gradually (which is useful in a 300+BHP RWD!!)
