Hi, just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what might be causing the following problem....

The car is a 1997 E36 328i convertible with dual climate control and on-board computer. The problem I'm having is that the heater fan sometimes goes on strike for a couple of days at a time. Usually it works just fine for a few weeks and then without any explanation stops working all together for about two days, then back to normal. All the buttons and display work as normal, just next to nothing coming out of the air vents. I had a read of the manual and it mentioned you can program the air-con to come on at pre-set intervals using the on-board computer (I think?!?)...could that be anything to do with it? Or have I a loose wire or something????? Help!!!

your hedgehog needs replacing .....

Its the air-con/climate control resistor pack, they burn out and result in odd fan/temperature operation
