I am just starting a search for an E39 M5 as the TVR sadly has to go - I see this has been a frequent topic in recent months so no need to go there again! There seem to be plenty of cars around in the 20-30k bracket but I am struggling a bit on differentiation. Any useful hints and in particular, what is the comms pack that many of them refer to?
Thanks

Comms pack is Sat Nav, Phone and Traffic Master. Depending on year and option ordered at new the phone could be a fixed brick, motorola v thing or Bluetooth.

Post 2000 will get you the nice headlights everyone insists on calling angel eyes... Quite how many angels they have met I dont know. I think they mean Halos but who knows.

SatNav is a must have option. Also, I reccomend you only consider cars with a BMW extended warranty. Colour choice is very subjective, but silver, blue & black will always hold their value better than other colours. Avoid white and green cars unless you really are hooked on them.

I agree young Jedi. Don't let his low PH post count fool you, there is much knowledge in this one. Like the young rufian Adamt, he is truely born of the planet Mfunf.

(PS - What colour is his new E60 in his profile)

Dunno....can't access 'the board' from this computer at the moment ,young padawan.

But.....i suspect it is a shade of green.....or is that just my envy reflecting off it?

E60....i can but dream!
