Rare-ish spotted : 525ix

Can't remember what day last week but remembered seeing an E34 525ix in black.....on the A45 into Birmingham

This is a first for me.....anyone seen or know of anyone with one of these 4x4 tourings?

I had one for a while - fairly recently. Used it for towing. I was never totally convinced that the 4WD system really worked properly and spares were horrifically expensive - try asking around for a front driveshaft for a 5 series and most people think you're mad. In fact, the car was so bad, I sold it to my brother.

They made a 325iX as well, would probably be a better drive in the smaller car, but unless your an ice racer the RWD is the way to go, lighter, more fun and less to go wrong!
