Considering M3 ?

Hello to all
Just sold my 996C2 and i'm looking for a car that has similar performance hence the M3.
I'm sure you guys get alot of these posts,so i'll try not to bore you to much.
I'm looking for a car to last me 6 months or so before i move on to a 997.
My questions are
What will i have to pay to get in to a sub 40thou mile car?So far i've seen a few around the 20-22k mark on 51plates
Are high milage cars worth the bother?
Bmw warranty,if i buy private will it need it ,if so how much?
Spec sat/nav is it a must?
I want to be able to sell this car quickly when the time comes and not loose a fortune,so what should i avoid not to get stuck?
Insurance wise,i pay 870 for my C2,are we around the same money for the M3?
Anything else i should know,apart from the fact this is an awsome drive,although its been a while since i drove one.
