The 330ci needs new rears. Was gona go for the Eagle F1's @ £186 each, but have now seen these. I know the TVR guys like the Toyo's so am I right in thinking they're the nuts?

Feck it!!
Basically, Eagle F1's will cost me £185 each
Avon thingy's will cost £200 for 2 (but heard they're no good!)
And the Toyo's will cost £85 each.

I thought as the TVR guys use the Toyo's they must be tip top...However, these appear rather cheap.

Tried Toyos on my (ex) Griff - Pants. Bridgestone was the better tyre by far. Can't comment on any others as no one else seemed to make them the correct size!
Oh, and I don't think the new cars from TVR don't come with Toyos any more either, remember reading something about that a while ago.

I have TOYOS Proxes fitted to my Alpina B3 3.0 Coupe...previous owner's choice not mine...fresh just the week I bought the car. My experience? In a nutshell...good grip; very poor wear characteristics!

I'm putting the Alpina up for sale in the next week or so...fronts 'ok'; rears still legal but not very much left in them considering their wear rate! I reckon I've done 10K miles on them...just normal easy A-road, mostly straight-line driving, nothing 'hard'. I'm going to leave them so the new owner can decide what they want to get next...if it were me for 'normal' road driving I wouldn't have them again.

I don't think that's very good?

I'm going to leave them so the new owner can decide what they want to get next once they've worn out...if it were me, for 'normal' road driving I wouldn't have them again.

Hope this helps?

Toyo's give good grip, but do wear very quickly. Goodyears are also good for grip and last longer but cost a little more. Where are you getting your prices from, the difference I have found in costs of Toyo and Goodyear has only ever been about £15 per tyre.

I have Continentals on mine, previous owners choice that I am happy to stick with. They are £145 and have very good all round grip and wear. If anything I'd like to be able to break traction a bit easier.
