Just a quick note of thanks to Wayne Hollett at German Cars in Dersborough, Norfolk.

The alternator belt on my M3 shredded and I'd pulled into Peterborough Services yesterday to assess the damage.

Wayne pulled up and offered to help, which included a trip to Halfords to get a new belt, (which turned out to be too long - you have been warned! 10 x 865 is the correct size!)

The long belt was used to run the Power Steering pump and the water pump, but not the battery, so Wayne followed until the battery was flat, then swapped the battery from his car (a very tidy 97 M3 with lots of Schnitzer stuff on it), to get me back to the German Cars Workshop.

With the correct belt swapped, I was able to complete my business nearby, then return to re-swap the batteries, before starting the 3 hour journey home again.

Thanks again Wayne. Top chap.
