Even if you were paying £2K plus for the priviledge?

You get it back come resale time , and dont have to worry about some scrote smashing your window and nicking it if you forget to take it out or hide it ...

If someone is willing to pay £2k extra for built-in nav then why don't they get it retrofitted? There's a guy who does it for £2k all in!

Because once your dashboard is taken apart, it will never be rattle free again?

Anyway better to buy a car that is right in the first place. To be honest though I don't see a 2k premium for nav when I look at BMW AUC. I wouldn't buy one without though (and I am looking at the moment).

Frankly with the trade in they've offered, they don't really deserve your business on the new car either. No surprise they want your cab at that money, they'll turn a profit even if they just ship it to auction rather than sell it themselves!

Isnt the issue that no one will want the car in the future if it doesnt have nav, i personally wouldnt buy a 2nd hand car without it, this will result in the value of cars without nav plummenting. I just find a nav stuck on the screen looks dreadful, and i have to remember to take it out, put it in etc etc. Same way as I wouldnt buy a yellow car, I wouldnt get one without nav installed.

First quesion we get asked now is "Has it got Sat Nav?"

A Nav car will usually sell much more quickly than one without...if factory Nav isnt important to you, then you will get a newer lower mileage car without it.

I ve got tom tom on my phone would not pay two grand for nav and don't leave the phone in the car for scrotes to nick (also would not attach phone to screen, fit it in the cup holder in my 5 series and S4)
