I have had my z4Mcoupe for 3 days and now get warning lights.
It bleeps and the following 3 lights appear at the same time (all in amber)

Traction control
Brake system
Flat tyre

They come on with no regularity and dissapear when the ignition is switched off and restarted.

I called BMWroadside help and they said that there was no issue if the lights were not red.

Does anyone know what it means or what i can do to resolve it. The car is due to go into the dealer on Monday for them to look at it

thanks in advance

I would suggest you speak to BMW roadside and if they don't think it's serious book it into the dealer for them to look at.

thats what i did/have done. its just a bit concerning AND irritating that i will have to be without the car for this and then the 1200 mile service in 2 weeks time. Cheecky gits want to charge me £15 for a "courtesy" car as well

Take the car back to the dealer and threaten to reject it then. If BMW have told you that the lights dont represent an issue when they are not red, then its a simple fix, and they can do it while you wait. And have a lovely chat with the other potential purchasers while you drink their coffee.

Alternatively, you could post it up on an internet forum, and get all worried. Up to you.

Id do the same as the above poster - speak to your dealer and advise them that you will be bringing your car in to be fixed. If the solution is not instant then they will be lending you a car until your Coupe is sorted.

Just make sure you speak to the right person.

This happens if one of the wheel speed sensors fails or the wiring is damaged, or the plug loose. It is quite a problem as the lights mean that the traction control system and ABS is now disabled as it cannot operate without the wheel speed input.

This happened to my Z4 after it had been jacked up and the jack caught the sensor wire and damaged it.

It is either that or an ECU fault - either way, take it back to BMW!

Thanks for the input folks.
I'll be having a little rant while I am down there.

I think it may be the wiring as its an intermittent fault.

I must say, the sales service i recieved was excellent but the post sales service has not got of to a good start. This is my first BMW and it is not endearing me to the brand at all!

If they get slippery then explain quite clamly that this is a SAFETY ISSUE and that the car is UNSAFE. In a loud voice.

I have been told that it was a DSC YAW sensor that had gone.
And surpris esurprise they have none in stock - they have to keep the car untill tommorrow. not a promising start to ownership. Maybe they will throw in some M mats for the coupe that i think should have come as standard anyway!
