When I first test drove a Z4C back in 2006 I feel in love. I think it is one of the best looking cars on the road and the engine is truly awesome.

I will own a Z4C however I want to wait till the second hand prices drop a little further. I know that I may not be able to spec the car to my specific needs however there seems to be plenty around (black with red leather, any other toys are a bonus).

What do the PH massive believe the residuals will be on the Z4C over the next 12/24 months?

Well I, for one, am hoping they stay high. But then I do have a vested interest...!

I guess it depends, in part, on whether the rumours about production ceasing at the end of this year prove to be accuarate. Supply and demand and all that.

Personally, I think Z4C 3.0 residuals will be the strongest in the Z4 range. Supply & demand meets a well balanced good value package tends to equal good residuals.....

Slightly off topic, I noticed that when I got the BMW quaterly magazine yesterday that the Z4C has won Top Gear Magazines Sports Car of the Year award.

Hmm, interesting...

BMW finance put a £13,140 baloon on my Z4M Coupe after 4 years. So far though it looks like I will keep it forever. Having had various BMWs over the years I am happy to say that the Z4M Coupe is welcome return to driving purity in the spirit of the E30 M3/320iS/325iS. I was getting a bit peed off with all the namby pamby steptronic, ACS-T, DSC, electric this, automatic that. Glad that problem has been solved by the kind ///M People

Good to hear.

I have to admit that when this was released I was very taken and congratulations to all your lucky Z4C owners out there. Given time I will get one but from what I read it appears that BMW are not going to over supply this vehicle so I am taking it that residuals will remain high.

....Just strolled into HJ on Sealand Road (Chester) and they have a lovely all black Z4MC sat on the forecourt. Looks awesome.

Just an update on residuals.

As a result of some unforseen problems with my business in that some ex employees have done approx £30K's damage in fecking up a number of projects I decided that as I was going to have to look at cost cutting and that the Z4C should be reconsidered.

Now with my car buying habits I know better than anyone about the perils of depreciation in the short term.

Anyone like to take a guess on the value of my 07 Z4C Sport with 2k miles, which listed at £34k.

surely not, that is a worry

I've come from an Alfa and even they'd struggle to match depreciation like that.

Believe me it was, admitedly not be a huge amount than the £26k that mustard suggested but definately lower.

Blimey they have reduced the price since the last time I looked.

I remember looking at them at the time to see what sort of discount was around and there was nothing like that.
