Right I was thinking of an M3 but i really dont want to be paying £5k for insurance, unless any one knows an insurance company that will insure a 20 year old with 3 points for a reasonable sum?

So... what I want some advice on, is I want to get a few bits done to my car...

I am getting her into the body shop asap to have bumpers, bonnet, arch e.t.c spayed up to make it look mint.

Anyway, I am after getting:

An exhaust, can any one recommend a nice one?

I'd like it to be a bit lower and be a bit harder? (it has already got the M-tec setup) so what is best to go for?

Possibly an air filter or even a big bore throttle bodie conversion?

This all has to be for a reasonable price so i am just wondering what I can get with my budget.

If you can help, I would much appreciate it.

Thanks

Dave

What's your aim with the car? Make it faster, nicer looking etc?

You have a nice car already. Why not stick your money in the bank and save for a few years until the M3 becomes insurable?

Have a look at Bovindgon's M3GT in Evo, loads of great mods.

Eisenmann makes the best M3 noise IMHO but is pricey.

I insure with Adrian Flux, might be worth giving them a try.

Thanks all,

I want to get it looking a bit better (one of my arches is starting to bubble) and a few other bits of bodywork need doing to get it up to my standards (not bothered about stone chips though)

I also want a nicer noise to come from the exhaust and i'd like it to be a bit stiffer for corners e.t.c

I would like a bit more acceleration yes (poss big bore throttle bodie)

I would save up but i am one of those people who cant really wait (hence the upgrades)

I will try the insurance but i think i am going to stick with my car for a while now.
I'm looking into track days atm (yes i am aware i'l prob smash it up lol )

Thanks though i'l just have to go through a few things to decide what i want!

Don't forget Dave that I want your suspension for my E36 'trackday' car, once you have upgraded
