looking at buying a 335d sport either saloon or est not bothered really, as Im in the trade I would never buy new as would fear the depreciation! but for one of these the second hand cars on offer are more expensive than a new one I have seen on "drive the deal" I wanted saphire black with black leather, nav/ heated seats and bluetooth ..think new delivered was around £34.5k.. inc a £500 deposit which I guess is there deposit ?

anyone know of anywhere doing deals on these

thanks in adavance

Go to broadspeed web site, follow link for 10% off, they link you to Inchcape, they in turn pass you to Coopers.

I bought the petrol manual 335i but got the car otr (inc black leather, heated seats, floor mats etc) for £29,750 (i.e. £5250 off). I bought from a previous dealer who matched the coopers price...

Broadspeed "only" offering about £4k off now I think. (though obviously if you order lots of options, your "discount" will go up (as they are discounted as well).

jeff, drive the deal discounts included £1200 for taking the dealer finance (read the small print on their quote), so if you're not taking it then add that back.

Broadspeed still cheaper for 335i last time I looked, but don't know about 335d.

the £1200 additional finance is a bmw gb offer and if its still on then you would get that via broadspeed on top of their discount (as i did)

Beige is fine, much less dark and depressing than an all black interior, actually have a look at one before rubbishing it.... IMO.

I got my local dealer to match the drive the deal discount on a new 335d Sport Touring. Ended up around 12% off list - didn't take finance.

If you go the touring route, I would highly recommend the panoramic sunroof. In fact I'd go further than highly recommend and say that you should not contemplate one without. It *completely* transforms the interior of the car for all occupants. My 335 is pretty highly spec'd - leather, prof sat-nav, hi-fi, xenons etc, and I rate the panoramic roof above all the other options put together.

what is the standard music like and is the hifi much better ? I had a 530d then a 535d sport and that was absolute sh*te was like someone forgot to fit a sub .. my current A6 is streets ahead for quality of sound.. Its one of the things I think bmw let themselves down on.. and when you spend hours in the car stuck in traffic its an esssential imho.

The hifi upgrade gives slightly better bass than the standard system but not a great improvement in quality. The Logic 7 is worth the extra.

If you had taken finance you would have got a further £1250 off. You could then have cancelled the agreement a month later and would have paid circa £300 interest - meaning a net saving of £950 - did garage not explain this option?

I was going to look into this, as I had assumed that the cost to get out of the finance would stop people doing this, but presumably not then based on your example. Is your £300 charge based on a certain level of finance presumably? Is there a minimum you need to finance to get the £1250 deal?

Apologies if this is on the BMW site - I haven't looked there yet, so not sure if they have any T&C's on there for their financing deals. Thanks.

Same spec. as mine Jeff, which was an ex demo. Got a good deal I hope.

As for the cd-changer they come pre-wired (boot) although how hard it is to retro fit I'm not sure.

think I was told max deposit was 40% so was still a big chunk to finance..I could be wrong but think there will be fees if you pay early, Im sure they will have that covered ? Im sure with the finance company I deal with there is a minimum ineterest charge.

If the cd changer is in the boot anyone know if its the same as the one fitted in the previous shape bmw"s ?

As he has the pro nav its pre-wired for the changer. I think there is only a couple of types that BMW use.

its a massive job i believe, as it fits in to the glovebox - circa £500 labour but blackspider will confirm as he is a bm geek

i say this as my old e46 3 series was a doddle whilst the current shape 5 series which had prof nav but was missing the advertised changer caused a major issue when i asked the dealer to resolve following delivery
