New Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo

Cracking!....looks really mean in the subtle colour, compared to some of these leary blues and greens that are around.
It does look very good indeed. But for me, after several years of black on black cars, I decided to get something a bit different. Definitely a case of love it or hate it .And I do agree with other posters above - Alpinas are great cars; I look forward to seeing a B3 BT on the road and perhaps even trying one. The normal 335i is something special already; the B3 will be something else I suspect.
Kind regards
Steve

Picture 1 it looks like a regular BMW.
Picture 2 a lot garish, like a few tins
of paint have been spilled in there.
Yellow in the footwells looks very silly.
Picture 3 white seats - hardly practical
for most kids in the back seats ?
Different folks like different things,
but I think I'll stick with black thanks.

I think this the whole point of people going to Alpina,When i got my E92 M sport 335d Coupe a couple of months back,i was one of the first to have the M Sport ..................Now there all over the place. You just won't get that with an Alpina which is kinda what i am looking for i guess. ( + a great Car )

Well I think it's great all over and I love the interior. I'm glad not all people like the same thing though, otherwise we would all have the same thing.Picture 2 a lot garish, like a few tins

What?
Even with those awful wheels and splitters attached to it?
:P
Yes, actually I saw a D3 the other day parked up in a layby on the outskirts of Bath and it did look good.Even with those awful wheels and splitters attached to it?
:P
The report in Autocar suggests it is indeed a fantastic bit of kit, in many ways better than the M3. Throw in the Birds retrofit LSD (if I'm not mistaken, sub £1k) and you've surely got an awesome machine.... and dare I say gpood value too! (Although the wood trim/beige can take a back seat for Aluminium/black)

B3 looks good
Ok so a few questions.
1. Do you have to have the lettering on the front splitter? If you have the front splitter then yes, you can normally chose between colour coded and 'Alpina' picked out to match your stripes ... an Alpina without 'Alpina' on the front skirt? Perish the thought
2. Are cars all built to order or do Sytners usually keep them in stock?
Yes as a rule though the D3 and the Z4 Roadster S were built in 'bulk'. A lot of Alpinas are normally ordered up by Sytners as 'Demos' though. Half the fun of buying a new Alpina is spec'ing it.... these are genuine bespoke gentlemans carriges .... with the pleasure normally comes pain..... Depreciation
3. Are discounts available like on regular BM's or is that a no no? Because they are largely 'bespoke' one would assume not.... though a more attractive deal may be available on one of their 'demos', I believe you can arrange a factory collectionof a new car
