850 CSi or Ci anyone?

Mustard - I appreciate the time on the Calypso red one but I'm afraid it is just too high on the mileage. In a year I would have it to 130k, if I had to keep it 2 years, then 140k ... and at that level they become very hard to sell no matter what people say.
I do need one just under 100k if I can find one
Pods, you're right, the 850 is the one to hold out for if I can find one ... it's just finding a good one!

HUGE!850 Ci is the 5.0 V12 with steptronic box.
850CSi is the Motorsport version - 5.6 M-Sport V12 with the all important manual 6-speed box. It also has M-Sport suspension and rear wheel steering. Good for about 190 with the limiter off
An adapted version of the CSi engine block made it's way into the McLaren F1

That is one of the expensive optional 'individual' CSi interiors and what looks like a pukker CSi body kit (sans mirrors) with the addition of the optional Motorsport boot spoiler.
Those seats are motorsport seats with electrically adjustable thigh support etc etc
Unfortunately, none of it looks original and its probably been cobbled together and made a mess of. That handbrake gaitor looks truly tacky and the rear centre cushion is wrong.
That red will probably rub off all over your best dark suit........

So basically, it isn't a chavved up Halfords jobby? Does that boot spoiler actually do much good? And is the rest of the body kit likely to detract from the car's value?
I think I would have to get the seats re-covered though and that'll cost about £2k just for the middle sections!
I have spoken to the garage but the owner is away today and it has been his own car for the last couple of years. The only thing I am wary of (apart from the seats and the boot spoiler!) is the part "specialist" history. He uses a local guy who is known to him that is a BMW mechanic. What that means I have no idea. He does state that all the old MOTs back up the mileage which is pretty hard to fake well I guess and easy to check up on.

Biased of course, but a good auto 4.4 840 is the way to go for your money. Cheaper everything.
