You don't think I'm letting you guys do ALL the work do you biggrin

Derin is one very useful chap to know and we have conversed via email on and off for over three years now, since I started looking for my uber-cruiser in fact ... which is now on over 220k smile

(I'm also going to ask him for car cleaning lessons wink )

Drop Alex at Munich Legends a line and see if he can help. You may not get the cheapest car around, but you will certainly get a well maintained car and ML seem to shift a fair number of 8 series.

Also have a look at the BMW Owners Club Forum to see what is currently available.
Thanks for the pointer belleair ... Just checked out his website but he only seems to have 7 cars currently for sale, and 1 coming soon ... none of which were 8s.

Serious question, would you take an 850CSi if it was LHD..?

Tried it but it won't work! Had to register to thesite and cannot log on now!

An M1! Now that is an odd one ... I might be wrong but I thought that they were a lot lot more expensive than that.

No. There are too many RHD 840/850s to choose from. You would have a very narrow market come resale time.

This is for sale in my local BMW dealer and I had a sniff whilst waiting for my car.

OK its only an 840 and a bit pricey, but I suppose you get a years AUC warranty and they may wish to haggle ?

Cheers smile It is a bit steep though and if I widen the search to a 4.4 then it opens up a whole new selection of quite low mileage cars.

Hi, just spotted the thread. wavey
Yup, I'm after an 8 Series, has to be a an 850CSi though. I don't really know if its a good plan or not, fancy a go though.

I've been looking for either an E9 CSL or and 850CSi for a while, both proving very illusive beasties, still, I'm in no hurry, I'm prepared to wait for the right one to come along.
