Does anyone have any recommendations or know of any links to video clips please?

With a de-catted V12 it would be a shame not to get the best sound out of the engine.

Now there's a thought biggrin

I checked the Eisenmann web site and found a sound clip for the M3 which, i have to say sounded dreadful, like a bloody scooter on steroids! I'm hoping the V12 version, if they do one, will sound more snarly and snappy (technical terms yes )

Not sure I agree there. Sounds ok, but that's it in my humble opinion.

Also a very different sound to a V12.

Ideally would like something that is quite mild at low revs (Vicki mode) but at about 3000 opens up and sounds like a Messcherschmit on speed!

Fingers crossed, and not wanting to count anything too soon, but I think so yes

Don't want to say for definite until I see the car in the flesh and confirm everything but I'm hoping it's a 95% yes ... and it is coming from a very trusted source which is half the battle smile

I prefer to believe that whilst we were considering its merit, Mr Secretary was already knocking on the door cheque book in hand smile

I'm going to stop beating myself up over this one too weeping and so should you.

Its an horrendous colour, and it's got 120k miles on it. nono

(I know it's not quite the same, but I sold a 1998 XJR with the same miles on three years ago for the same price, it also had 370bhp, and was immaculate)

Right, I'm off now to drown myself in my own beer...........................

ah, but you see about two dozen XJs every day, you'd be lucky if you saw two dozen 8-series a year! biggrin

And... it went to the first caller so we would have been too late anyway yes

Give these chaps a call.

Hayward & Scott - 01268 727256

www.haywardandscott.co.uk

They made a terrific aftermarket stainless exhaust for the E39 M5 (£500 +vat) so I am sure they could knock something up for an 850.

Hmm, a lot of Porsche guys use their systems. I'll give them a call and see if they have done anything for the V12.

thanks smile
