Given the lovely sunny weather today I thought I'd do something constructive. A quick furtle around on GSF Carparts, and I establish that gas struts for the bonnet of an E34 are only £11 or so; so I dig out the socket set intending to hoick off one of the current ones which currently - well - don't really work. To the extent that I've been bopped on the bonce a couple of times. headache

Except that they don't appear to have any bolts or screws on, just a couple of clips at either end, and I'm not sure how to remove them.

Any ideas?

I think they just flick off with a flat-blade screwdriver.

I'll have a look at mine tomorrow.
