m3 evo/3L Gearing-top speed question.
Discussion
Hi there,
I'm currently running a 3L M3 powered E36.
I've fitted a 6 speed evo gearbox by modifying the non evo prop to fit the evo gearbox. I'm also running a standard (but uprated) BMW LSD.
I took it out for a test run and in 6th it did 85mph (on a private road of course) at 3000rpm.
The engine hits the limiter at 7300rpm and its been chipped so the speed limiter has been removed, so with that in mind, what sort of top speed can I expect? I know aerodynamics take their toll and will reduce the speed a little, but purely on gearing alone, does anyone have any idea how to calculate it?
Any help would be gratefully received.

I understand that 6th is an overdrive gear so I take it efforts to increase the power would not improve my top speed?
I only ask as I am thinking of fitting a nitrous oxide kit to increase the power. I understand the risks involved with using Nitrous, but I wouldnt mind taking it to a runway with it attached and seeing just how fast I could go.
