That's not true, you can fit wider or narrower tyres to a rim.
I hardly think it's likely I've gone and put 255/35 rubber on a front wheel that I've mistakenly then put on the rear when it should be 225/40 and on the front...

I think it's fairly obvious it's the correct tyre.

So why does it look so out of place you thought you needed spacers?

I didn't say you should, only that its possible. His rear wheels look to be fronts with the rear size tyres on.
surely it's just the angle of the picture

Not sure, but given that he says himself:

Its not unreasonable to suggest reasons why he might have an issue. You don't need spacers for the correct size 108's, they should fit in the arch just fine and look fine.

So it's either totally fine in RL and the picture is just showing it as looking a bit weird due to the angle, or it's a front wheel by mistake, IMHO smile

I would say so.

A simple image search for "z4 108" shows that it seems pretty normal. It's emphasised on mine due to it being lowered. So when I said they shouldn't be like that, I didn't mean something was wrong I meant that IMO they shouldn't because it looks turd. Spacers would make it look better.

I'd roll with that.

Lowered suspension and angle of picture I'd say.

Spacers for "perfect stance" sort of thing.

My SAAB is completely standard, and most people would be happy. But for my taste the wheels should be further out....... Probably another 5mm-10mm

Bought this last weekend, but my wife is going to buy it off me.

2000 330Ci. 129K miles with FSH. Has the shadowline gloss around windows which would have been rare at the time, but doesnt date the car as much as chrome might.

MV2's have been fitted at some point, and all the lenses have been upgraded to clear ones. The rear lights have been upgraded to the later LED (?) type off 2005 / 2006 cars.

Overall it hides its age well. The only other thing we're doing is changing the head unit to a CD player - got one today out of an 05 m3 for it.

As i've always said, 'chose the option that works best for you'.

Clearly financing a cheapie like this one doesnt make sense, as she probably wont keep it that long anyway.

I think the M52 is a cracking engine and it's transformed my e21.

Do us a favour, ensure you can afford to run it... otherwise you'll be adding to the long list of fked up 8's.

i reckon the average ownership length for most 8's must be about 6 months. People are lured in by the amazing attraction and cheap purchase costs (£5k will buy you a good'n)... only to then realise you need £5k p.a. to run one (or a very good connection with a used BMW parts supplier/breaker)!
