Yea, I bet it was. It probably took all of about 3 seconds to decide if you wanted a 320bhp 6 cylinder RWD coupe or a Volkswagen Golf with a 4 cylinder engine hehe

Lol, as ever, there's more to it than that. Yes, paying more for less cylinders didn't compute, but the ride of the 235 is dreadful imho and I preferred the lower seating position of my TT. And of course, I still have the Z4 for 6 cyl rwd enjoyment. driving Btw I now understand why people prefer a NA 6cyl to the turbo. A 230i would be interesting.

My kind of Beemer and LS power sweetens the deal loads for me a proper V8 rather than an over complex ticking time bomb bow no substitute for yank muscle IMO
Sorry, an LS in place of an S54 really is a bloody stupid idea. I can just about accept a pushrod V8 in a 507, but even that I'd be tempted to swap for an M62. LSs don't belong in BMWs, unless you're replacing a crappy diesel or 4-pot petrol. I did briefly contemplate sticking an LS3 in my old E46 318i before it was written off by a texting driver in a VW...

In what way? I make 550hp at 7k revs now. In a lighter, more robust package.
My S54 lost a rod through the side of the block on track and it's not exactly confidence inspiring...

Don't try to make people like your car. It's your car. End of.

Nonsense, his car his plans, his choice. It's great to see something different.

Well here are my pair (Shared with OtherHalf)

1: Solar Orange BMW i3 Rex. 2016 Jan Registered
Purchased Oct 2015 with 2k miles on the clock as a BMW Main Dealer Ex Demo Car.
Has Lounge Interior. Pro Nav Media Package. Park Assist Package. 5 Year Service Pack

Bought the Rex as do a lot of long distance travel for work, and figured we would be using the Rex a lot, as it has turned out its hardly used as the charging network at sites we visit at work has allowed a lot of on site charging

Having Covered 15k in the Car since Oct 2016 we have used only 35 Litres of Petrol in the Rex, the rest being totally electric use.

I also had an 2014 Abarth 500c Which I was keeping as a back up petrol vehicle, but it soon transpired this was not being used and when Tax and service became due I decided to trade it in for

2: White BMW i3 Battery Only. 2016 July Registered
Purchased Jan 2016 with 57 Miles on the clock as a BMW PreReg/Showroom Car
Has Loft interior. Standard Nav. Park Assist Pack. 5 Year Service Pack

Bought this for the times we need a second car (Rare as we work together), so car in 6 weeks has covered just 1000 miles but was off the road for 2 weeks as the main drive motor blew (Manufacturing fault) and had to be replaced under warranty.

1 post in 22 months? Top lurking.
Nice work on the pair, i drove an i3 a while back and was very impressed.
If one fitted our requirements i wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
